Me either haha. Probably by people who paid $8,500 for Taylor Swift tickets for their daughter.

They paid that because people like you bought them up only to sell them at inflated prices. The same reason they downvote people like you that buy up all the PlayStations and raise the price on resell during holidays. You are the guy that goes and buys up all the generators after a hurricane to resell them at four times the price (fortunately they now have limits on the number than can be purchased). Buy LSU/SEC Champ tickets for the purpose of reselling to LSU fans at 50-75% inflated prices. I am glad you made $8500 (I extract the most value from the purchaser when I sell items, too, especially vehicles and real estate), but because of people like you working class children won’t be able to attend the Swift concert. It is her fault as she could avoid this by restricting resell of tickets, but having a hard ticket to get is great for her brand. Although I agree with free market and supply/demand those are the reasons for the downvotes.

One day I will do an in-depth share but blogging makes a ton of money if you understand SEO.

One of my best friend makes over $70,000 a month on this website with just ad revenue.

I am NOWHERE near this number but making progress every year.

You can also sell courses or affiliate partnerships with Amazon.

So many ways.

ETA: This website makes a frick TON of money off ads (unless you have an ad blocker). I would guess Chicken is also around six figures per month.

1.

I put my efforts into maximizing my one career, then spending my extra time with family, friends, and hobbies.

Time is the ultimate luxury.

I get why some people have "side hustles" because it helps their family or they can retire sooner etc., but to me i want to spend my time doing things i find interesting, regardless of if its work or leisure. Drop shipping, websites, affiliates shite, even rentals, just bore me to death.

I figured for some people, the interesting part is seeing how they can take advantage of all these opportunities.

I am confused. You are critizing me for doing the same thing at a much high price point with real estate? If money can be made, I don't care what it is or who can go to what. Money feeds mouths and pays my Raptor note. Speaking on flipping PS5s and other tech, I made about 15k last year and around Christmas flipping PS5s, Xbox Series X, and graphic cards (3070, 3080, 3090s).

He really doesn't seem to "agree with free market and supply/demand" at all, huh?

Sorry, I was speaking colloquially with the use of the word “you” designed to be generic. I was not being literal with any of the examples. “You” was being used generically to describe individuals that sell in demand goods that they have early or unique access to at inflated prices, taking away access of those goods by pricing out some target consumers. People (generally, not you as a person even though I am responding to you) have most certainly sold items for more than they paid for them, including generators. There is no federal prohibition on price gouging, so if there is no state of emergency in place it is not illegal, it’s just a crummy thing to do.

Appreciate the clarification. I have to say though, from the tone of your post, it sounded more like you were giving him a hard time for capitalizing on the free market. Perhaps I took a little offense to it as well since I've scalped a few tickets myself in the past. The way I see it is that the person I'm selling them to should have bought them when they went on sale, like I did, and that they are probably thankful that they were still able to buy some tickets to attend the concert that obviously means a lot to them.
