Friend of mine, pitched me Team National last night. Invited me over for dinner, and hit me unknowingly with the TN pitch.

I wanted to slap him, but I was a good friend and took notes, but I am confident this is nothing short of a MLM scam.

How can I get my friend to get his head out of his a**. He has some finanical problems, so I understand why he bought in.. but still, be smart.

My MIL makes the pitch to us every time we talk to her.

Is he a Baptist? Church of Christ?

Seems like a lot of fundamental christian types get caught up in these scams.

I know he is heavily involved in a church, unsure which one.
I really am just dumbfounded he as bought into this. Trying to mix business and friendship is no bueno.

Do they not take "No" as an answer?

I'm so happy no one close to me has gotten involved in these things because we couldn't be friends anymore. It's just gross and annoying to pitch this shite to a friend.

I have about 4 friends who are into it. They are good about not pitching it to me, but they want me to let them know when I am ready to buy a wedding ring

Seems so strange to me about why this is the case most of the time. Wonder why it is that they fall for this BS so much?

see my link above. Don't listen to the rah rah haters or blind followers. DO an objective study and decide for yourself. I have some review links in my link that should help you. Everybody's situation is different.

You got downvoted but you're exactly right. Fundamentalists have group think and don't like to be challenged intellectually.

The Bible is the LAW and that's it! Why? Because Jesus said.

You really can't reason with people like that whether they be Christian, Muslim, you name it.

I guess it's not a true scam, but it would be a waste of my time. I would be pissed if a friend or a family member tried to talk me into something like this

I see a sincere approach by you but the whole "giving it a shot" is probably exactly what TN wants you to do. If everyone buys a "trial" membership they make $$$. People read reviews to get opinions before trying things.

Based on what I've read its basically a program that you pay a membership to join that gives you discounts on products. I'm guessing there's a very popular referral incentive hence people wanting to schedule "meetings" with their friends/family. It might not be a "scam" but it is an unnecessary program that targets impressionable people. They use fancy websites and signs and expos to attract people into thinking it's an exclusive club. All while in reality they're offering you savings on prices for goods that are either negotiable or unnecessary.

And also I'm not surprised by the fact that their website is designed to be 100% confusing and not clear about what the hell it is (setting themselves up for a salesman to "clarify").

Pyramid. If you first in line you can make good. Know someone who makes around $500K a year from other people doing the work.

Had a client try and come pitch this pile of shite to me. Told me I would increase my revenue because TN members only do business with other TN members. He is no longer a client and I am not a part of TN.

He tried to prove a point by showing me the TN cost for certain products so I turned around and found those same items on the internet for the same and in some cases cheaper prices. He then tried to pitch the additional income from other potential members paying membership fees (the pyramid scheme part).
