knew $900 didn’t have a shot but I was hoping for maybe like $50 or at worst $20. Might sell my shares next week, turn a small profit and move on
Don't be stupid. If anything, Friday prove it couldn't be panicked.
Think about that. Monday open at 15.50

Holding till 500... I think it happens. Redistribution of wealth through stock market is about to happen... a man can believe right!! Don’t piss in my Cheerios!

Holding above $13.50 this week was a huge win

How so if a bunch of options were set to expire on the 19th?

3rd Friday is a little bigger (because those are the monthlies), but did you know that options expire every Friday?

Yes, but if you have a Friday with a bunch of them that’s supposed to start the short squeeze as people were saying then doesn’t happen, I don’t think it ever will.

I’m not riding the short squeeze hope (of course I’d happily take it) but my ultimate goal was based off of the re-opening and all the blockbusters rolling through. I still plan on selling some 25% at $15 and 55% or more if it touch’s $20 and holding on to to that last 20% for awhile. Do you all not expect the re-opening to have a big impact?
I’m not super highly invested in this but enough that I’m paying attention. The last 2 I got highly invested in crashed on me, WKHS and ONTK. Eeesh.
BTW, my average share price is $8.90.

I bought in because China is setting record high ticket sales as they open and I expect that to happen with AMC. I sold a little less than half at $14 which brings my per share cost avg (with the gain from the $14 sale) to $5/share so I have room to ride).

Yeah, at almost 200% growth, I can see why you’d get out around now. I’ve started a rule that if a stock doubled in price, sell at least 25% no matter what the current outlook is. I didn’t do that on WKHS or ONTK and it bit me bad. The worst was WKHS because I continued to add all through the climb becoming more and more convinced it was going to explode. It didn’t.
Then I panicked and sold 75% at almost the lowest point. I couldn’t have played it worse if I tried unless I would have bought big at the top of the climb. Luckily, it was mostly earnings that I lost and only partially real money spent.

Well, my stop loss of $12.50 just hit, can’t say I expected that to happen today.

Yikes. Plummeted at the open. Bouncing back a little now. Buying opportunity?
Eta- GME relatively flat for the day, so the drop seems unrelated.

No, any buying I’m going to do on AMC is in the rear view mirror. Now it’s just when to sell.

I was just checking in to see what happened EOD on Friday. I thought that was the quadruple witching hour I'd heard so much about. What went wrong?
Hopefully some of you with more reasonable expectations took some profits.
