If (big if) the vast majority in a similar position hold until Thursday, it has the potential to get fun.

I'm in a similar boat--I bought in with play money and just enjoying the show.

I don't expect much. I kinda did last week, but I think it's clear the ADD in most Redditors is showing. I didn't put a ton in for a reason. If it doesn't tick back up to a decent sell point for me, I'm just going to hold it and see where it goes for a while. No reason to exit where it's at. I am legit getting a giggle out of losing money. I may be cray-cray.

Because people like you sold. It was only going to work if people worked together.

I sold when it became evident that the 20% decline wasn't going to stop.

I agree mostly. AMC's most likely chance at survival is to adapt and consolidate or appeal to more of a niche market

Agree with this. The experience will likely have its place into the future, but on a much smaller boutique like scale. There’s plenty of people like me who still enjoy (or used to at this point) the experience, want my kids to have it, who will maintain a market for them, but not on anywhere close to the same scale.

Studios will develop their own or find a middle ground partnership with the HBO Max’s of the world. The toothpaste isn’t going back in the tube. Not all the studios will be happy, nor will they all survive. I expect serious consolidation in the industry with this shift. The majors will win in this industry like any other. Disney isn’t stupid. They created Disney+ for a reason.

As a long-term outlook, I agree. But they are not currently okay with it and there's going to be a fight before this becomes the norm.

Can we all just admit that if brick and mortar theaters do die off, we have lost a little piece of Americana? I recall my childhood when going to an arcade with my buddies was a fun time. This is kinda that on larger scale. Video games are still cool, but the social aspect is missing and it's a little sad. Plus, I can't really fit a Top Gun machine in my bonus room.

I don’t want to laugh at people losing money, but at this point if they are still investing into this hoping that it’s going to rocket to $20 again, you can only help but laugh.

Blockbuster may be poised to make a run any day now.

I read this morning on Fidelity that Bed Bath & Beyond is one of the most shorted stocks today.

I'm just surprised he even tweeted that. I figured it would silently sell and just not talk about it again.

Wish I had put more into CDEV> It was a free stock on Webull last year. I think it was worth $1.50 when I got it. Up to $2.87 today. Not gargantuan gains, but steady.

Definitely. I loved taking my son to see the "new Star Wars". He wore his storm trooper pajamas to one and his Obi Wan get up to another.
