Cox Chooses Vecima for vCMTS

Liberty Global chooses Commsource for vCMTS

What am I missing or confusing here? All these posts talk about some monopoly yet so many of the big providers are using others?

These posts are what get me worried about bubbles and existing companies come out of nowhere with what seems too good to be true stories. Again maybe I am confusing things here - but she seems like there are alternatives

Found something to somewhat support your point:

Vecima:
Loading Twitter/X Embed...
If tweet fails to load, click here.

Worth nothing that it is still not trading on a major USA exchange.

Commsource:
Pretty sure the segment that made the deal you linked in June 2025 was acquired by Amphenol. $APH

Link: Vistance | $VISN

And I do not say HLIT isnt a good play - I do not know - but those tweets have way too many absolute statements for the radar not to go off for me.

Just wish I had the free cash to get into this. How do you folks free up cash in time to buy on such quick turnarounds?

You LITERALLY can.

This transition has been going on a while in this space especially as cable operators transition to DoCSIS 4.0.

Even with the "software solutions" it's still capital intensive to migrate existing hardware at each node. It's a slow planned out process and Vecima is the new comer which has shown some better promises. The key is Vecima works with Harmonic to offer a mixed solution.

This has little to do with AI.

Seems like this board is turning into buy whatever is the hottest momentum priced stock. Some have turned out well while others have turned out not so well. The money board is starting to look like a casino on hitting winners and losers.

What stock account put this buy out on Friday? I’m always suspicious with these types of AH runs when someone puts out a stock after preloading it. I’m not arguing with the idea behind the company, but I wouldn’t buy in Tuesday PM. If I miss it, so be it

Space X is primarily an AI company if you went over the S1.

Or at least that is where 90% of the money being burned on is.

It’s all connected. SpaceX bought XAI bc AI unlocks space. But most of XAI’s burn was the massive data centers, which are now getting contracted out to Anthropic and others

I hear you but from their own filling

Space X wants to be known as an AI company for obvious valuations reasons.

The connectivity business is the only money maker of the three segments. But that's a boring business with very little addressable market and they know it. Thus the push for the AI narrative

I predict that this will be one crowded trade as soon as markets open. Is it 24 hr? About to find out.

I’ll wait for a retest.

Besides NBIS and OUST what are your top 3 conviction plays? I do have small positions in ELVA, ENPH, BRUN and BLDP and trying to decide to add, hold or sell. I think I saw where you sole ELVA.

Funny that you ask (as HLIT is indeed up 25% in overnight session)…

Yes, I sold ELVA to get into ENPH calls and BLDP.
I’m really bullish the ENPH momentum.
I bought four calls for 8.50 each.
They finished the week above $20 and I still own two.

I don’t have NBIS or OUST conviction on MRAM, but I am keeping most of it right now.
I’m ditching FCEL, and I’ll dump most of BLDP.

WHY?

I’m thinking of going long DUOT.
Check the NBIS thread for it.
I posted about it today.

I’m fine to play a bit of momentum in a market like this, but I really want a third or fourth high conviction name.
As much as I’d hate to buy another AI related name, I may do it.

Other possibilities out of left field include TDW, KTOS, LEU.
