What else do you know for a fact? That we faked the moon landing, the CIA invented AIDS to kill off gay people, 9/11 was an inside job by the government.... what else am I leaving out?

Flop you got me confused with someone else i never disagreed with you! I simply disagreed with the statement by some that plain dealing area would never gain more than 250-500 per acre based on recent activity. Before that I had no idea as i'm not in the business but simply a land owner. I'm simply trying to find the facts like everyone else. The more i research the more I find conflicting information. For example Pitt, Tiger and Cad unequivacoly say there is no shale in PD based on logs, info and 2wells(sampson,JW). They I believe are in the business in some fashion so they may know something. However I talk to other people in the business who tell me that is not completly acurate. I could go deeper why I side with you on your assumtion with no facts but the acuracy of all of this is bottom line when the pen hits the paper or the bit hits the shale! The only thing i know for sure is that pitt, tiger, and cad are WRONG on lease amounts. I would love to see all the logs, well data, cores, etc, etc, etc but some of that is sacred stuff. The kinda stuff that causes companies to buyout others, sneak around under other names and do things us common folk wont catch on to quickly if ever or understand. SOMETIMES THE LEFT HAND DOESN"T KNOW WHT THE RIGHT HAND IS DOING. Oh yea I know SONRIS, its all public nothing to hide. PLEASE

Flop look I stand with ya not against you. I may have to eat crow but bottom line my lease wont be 250-500.

sorry for the rant but ya touched a nerve.

I wouldn't say you won't be in the 250-500 range until you get a check in hand. I've had some acreage in the middle of the HS that has had numerous offers of 10,000 plus only to have them back out when it was time to sign. Just be careful.

You put your land in a pickup truck and drive it down to South Caddo Parish and I'm sure that Chesapeake or Petrohawk would love to pay you some big money. Until then good luck. Maybe this group will waste some money and throw some bonus payments around North Bossier parish, but they almost certainly aren't going to find productive Haynesville shale.

Looking forward to see what this meeting is about in Plain Dealing. I know there is a an abundance of the HS in Caddo. My folks own 22 acres and received $25,000 Per Acre. We also own 120 Acres along the river Just a mile North of the Maximum Security Prison in Plain Dealing.

There is also an abundance of HS in Bossier, just not North Bossier. Hillwood will find that out the hard way. If you need some confirmation on this, go to downtown Plain Dealing and ask for the only person with an oil company downtown with over 50 years experience in this business. He would love to tell you what's up there...oh, and he might get a little fired up about it.

Sand or shale factor is probably just a bit important, wouldn't you think? Where is Mott?

I live not far from this well. There is another one 3300ft. from it that was drilled last year..They are in the Cotton Valley zone here and they are good wells. The one mentioned looks like it may be better than the first but it has not even been fracked yet..just going by the oil in the pit and the gas line that is already in place to move gas from well. To my knowledge no one has hit the shale here yet. Obviously it is deeper. How deep no one knows yet! But I will take a CV producer over nothing at all!!!

Dang. GOOGLE is FAST. They indexed your aaaahahaa post before the admins nuked it. Google "Hueng Shalo" and its the first hit.

Chicken? You can censor the board but the invisible hand of google's indexing is faster than your admins. ;-)

So who is Hueng Shalo?

Thanx CAD, you are my favorite human being right now!

Hueng Soro is a nearly famous poster on the Tiger Rant who has correctly prognosticated the results of several big LSU games. The board goes nuts upon his infrequent appearance, kinda funny.

[link=(What is the name of this LSU poster, and where is he?)]LINK[/link]

Don't know if the link works CAD, but you can find this post on page three of the Tiger Rant. It'll give you a bit of an overview.

Can someone out there provide a link to the work of Hueng Soro?

ETA: look for the post titled 'What is the name of this LSU poster, and where is he?', on page 3; or use the search feature. Good stuff.

I'm back with my truck! Ok there may not be HAYNSVILLE SHALE. But i'm wondering if you would define what Haynesville Shale is specifically(depth Range). Then state that their isn't another zone of shale below the cv at all! Also all who post state your position o&g employee, land owner only, or both. I will go first: LAND OWNER ONLY!

Landowner....Acadiana, we are not sure what depth it will be up here but I was told by 2 different professionals that it will be deeper here than in Elm Grove. Will they be economically and technically able to get it? Someone will have to drill to see I assume. No well in my area including the ones I mentioned have gone beyond 11,600. The pay zone for the 1st well was 11200 and 11400..That comes right off the 1st paystub my neighbor has from production off of it. The company says they are producing from the Cotton Valley zone?? They were getting good gas production until oil stopped the gas flow and they had to suck 180 barrels of oil off to get the gas pressure back. I saw on one post today where they thought that the shale was below 15000ft. in Natchitoches parish!

Now thats a post worth reading! Thank you

The constant negative wears ya down. I as well heard of a deeper depths yesterday than I have heard previously mentioned on this board or on sonris that I could see. I was also told of two thickness measurements at different locations being between 190 and 200 both east and west of plain dealing. That i can't confirm.
