the current offer is 10,200
Tell ya what... when you get that money in the bank, call me, you should have my phone number... I will buy your lunch. I'm serious. I'll believe that number when I see it. It makes no sense. For you, I hope it's true.
I'd like to rename Shreveport to Shennanigan City. Many renegs occurring. Crazy stuff.

Acadiana...I don't know if I mentioned it but the 2nd well is 3300ft. NE of the NO.1 They have not fracked it yet but there is almost pure oil in the pit and they have already run the gas line to the site to hook up...This is the one that was rumored to have a 200ft. pay zone!! It is about a mile from my property!

Nobody on this board has ever said there was not a productive Cotton Valley zone. That's all that Country Boy was saying.

CV still smells like money to me PittBoss!!!

Exactly. You could become very wealthy off of Cotton Valley or Haynesville sand wells. THe difference is the lease bonuses. In the shale, if it's there, it's there. With these other formations. you can drill wells right next to each other with one producing well and one dry hole. That's why the lower lease bonuses for these plays because it is a bigger risk.

the man said he already has the money.... what the hell did he buy the truck w/?? Good looks.....

Mr. Just Bill??? What do you suppose will be top dollar in the PD area?? Care to make a wager, if proven??
Posted on 7/25/08 at 9:56 pm to Flop
Flop I hope you are right about that offer..I have heard of a couple of decent ones for fact myself and they are alot higher than 250-300 range. I am pretty up on stuff up here in this area but I let that one slip by me...
Posted on 7/25/08 at 9:56 pm to Flop
More importantly, what will be the best producing H'ville well up there? Just because some dumba**es pay you some money doesn't mean it's there.

So... will you share it on this board if you attend?
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:06 pm to pittboss33
Dumbasses don't give top dollar just for the hell of it. The people giving this much money for an acre of land have a pretty good idea that it's there. Don't come here telling me they don't??
Hell, you all have already said that the reason there are low lease numbers is due to the increased risk. Why in the hell would they pay top dollar in an area that simply chance. bullshite Pittboss!!!!!!

Flop is PittBoss a Landman? lol....sounds like one who is playing the area down so he can get some cheap leases? lol...
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:12 pm to Flop
Flop, anybody who has drilled a well into the Smackover has gone through the Haynesville. There are quite a few Smackover wells up there. There is no shale on any of the logs. Do you wonder why Hillwood hasn't gotten in touch with any of the landowners they met with last week? They might of figured it out. One of the guys at the meeting said Hillwood didn't know anything about H'ville sand. That shows who is the dumba**. Now I know why the Perot family made money in the technology sector and not the energy sector. It worked in the Barnett, but it won't work in PD.
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:14 pm to pittboss33
And how long have you been in the O & G business Pittboss?
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:17 pm to pittboss33
PittBoss...that one guy you said that was at the meeting must have been hard of hearing because I was there and heard no such thing!!
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:20 pm to countryboy
He said he asked if it was a sand formation up there and they said they didn't know anything about the Haynesville sand
Posted on 7/25/08 at 10:23 pm to pittboss33
Guess I was hard of hearing? I didn't hear that one either..
