That is the Cottage Grove re-drill, going a little bit deeper? :jump1:

My dad and grandfather went to a meeting at Benton High School on Thursday, Oct 16th. I was away in Mississippi so I couldnt attend but they both told me the same thing and I asked them when they werent near each other to see if there was any variation in the stories. Both of them basicly told me the same thing: They said that the company that was talking to them (Dont know it) said they will most definetly be leasing all of the Benton area. They said it would probebly be around the first of the year of 09' and it could be as much as 1/4 royalties. Aswell as $35,000 an acre up front.

I'm not saying that will NEVER happen, but in the next few years I'd say your chances range between slim and none.

Yeah, NG would probably have to have sustained prices above $15/Mcf for leases to be 35k/25% royalties. I don't see prices getting that high again for at least 2-3 years.

I agree. I think that they meant to say $3500 and that might be on the high side!

Yeah, even at the height of things there were "only" paying 25k or so per acre down in Elm Grove. We know the shale is in Benton, but it remains to be seen if it is as productive (in flow rates) as the proven wells down in Elm Grove.

The lawyer that was present at the meeting in Benton on the 18th I believe it was said that the guy addressing the town did in fact say that he asked for $35,000 an acre with 30% royalties from a new company and was pretty confident that after the first of the year that it would be possible. Just a quick update as I find more out about it. None of this information is first hand but it did come from some people I think are very trust worthy.

Nothing but it is a well that they are going back into to go deeper? There is a location in downtown Springhill going to 11000 ft. and another location between Springhill and Taylor on Hwy. 371, not sure what they are doing there?
