Have you guys received any good year end gifts? We're looking to buy some year end gifts for the employees ($50 limit) just as a little tangible thank you in addition to their bonus.

In the past we have done Carhart jackets, small RTIC coolers, and laptop backpacks.

Real bonuses are in the Spring.

We always get $100 and a gift. It's been anything from a set of 4 tervis tumlers w/ company logo, leather hanging travel bag w/ company logl, duffel bag w/ company logo, Maui Jims, steak knives, etc....

Good food can do the trick too.

the problem with good food is everyone is so fricking picky now - gluten free, dairy free, soy free, vegan, etc. One year I got a ham, and i gave it away since a) I can't eat an entire ham myself. b) my wife doesn't eat pork. One year I got a cake, and I gave that away too.

I would just rather have more $$, even if its $50 or a giftcard. However, I know a company I worked for gave employees nice fleece jackets and those were well received by people. I also saw workout bags received well. I gave the fleece jacket to a bum, and kept the workout bag.'

another great present is to give everyone an afternoon off. or an entire day. My wife's boss that regularly, and my wife loves it.

I get a ham every year for Christmas that I give to a local homeless shelter.

Best gift I got from an employer was one of those roadside emergency car kits. I've barely used it, but it's nice having in the car.

Otherwise, I'd just prefer cash or a Visa or Amex gift card. I don't even want an Amazon gift card.

For a little more each you can get a nice rotomolded cooler with your company’s logo from China.

Honey baked hams are good too

I wouldn’t give out food for them to take home. I’m talking about going to a restaurant or hiring a caterer.

$50 gift card paired with a personalized, hand-written note.

They'll love the money and remember your note. Doesn't have to be long, just a thank you for a successful year + a statement on how they contributed.

Time or money.....those are best. Schedule a half day off. Or do free bagels in the break room, then announce the afternoon off.

Logo stuff isn’t always appreciated, depends on your industry and workforce.

My company usually issues bonuses after a completion of a project

If you're on a long term multi year project you'll usually get something in early December

They don't give out a lot of non cash gifts but we usually do a big raffle at our company Christmas party that has anything from ice chests, jewelry, cars, guns, gift cards and the like. Proceeds from the raffle go to wounded warrior project.
