Up 127% this year.

Anyone think it can return to its peak during the meme stock era a couple of years ago?

I liked/like him. Seemed like a decent fellow with a good, sincere story behind him. Really hoping that he exited some (most) of those positions before they cratered.

I wish Cgrand would come back. I made money on most of his recommendations. Traded FSLY and came out making money. I enjoyed his thoughts.

It was hard not to be viewed as a trading guru between April 2020 - Feb 2021. Everything went up exponentially.

FSLY, LVGO/TDOC, NVTA, SE, ETSY, DOCU, PINS, etc. All of them came crashing down hard. I know after I recommended some stocks and they crashed in 2022, it was embarrassing and crushing to talk to those same people about the market. I don’t give advice to family and friends as much anymore, because people truly will start a position off of my exuberance without doing due diligence.

I’ve cost my BIL a lot of $$$ on AUPH after the big spike in October 2021, HGEN around August same year, and TELL in September 2022.

Only stock I have recommended to him this year was ORGN.

You didn't cost him any money. You didn't force him to buy the stock.

Same. I stayed in FSLY stubbornly though. I'm actually pretty thrilled recently as I bought my cost down over the past year to $19.8/share. I ended up putting way more money than I wanted to in order to get that average down though. Not my typical strategy.

If FSLY hits $20 any time soon I'm selling it all

Friend,

FSLY has been my worst investment in terms of loss in my life. Im averaged at $95 and have lost about $15k on it. Mother is still upset at me for not selling sooner. “Why didn’t you buy more Dillard’s stock?” she say every time the topic is broached.

Yours,

This was also my biggest loss since i started in 2018. I'm not touching this one again. Should have never purchased this in the first place got caught up in the hype.

Are you out? I trimmed a bit but the call was pretty solid. I plan on seeing what the next year holds.

I sold about 75% of my holdings for a small profit at $20.25. I put in a sell order when it was around $19 thinking that wouldn’t hit, and then I got a notification it did.

I’ve still got about 230 shares and roughly $3K invested in case we get a nice little uptrend with the earnings and outlook positivity.

Amazing what patience (or was it stubbornness) did with this one

Good for you. I had 75 shares with average in low 80s. Kept averaging down all the way into the 7's. Have 650 shares now with 18.20 average.

I guess sometimes patience, persistence, and stupidity pays off.

Yep. We had basically the same situation and strategy except my starting point was in the high 50’s. I caught the falling knife all the way down to $8/share and then rode it back up!

Glad to be mostly out though (considering the large $$ I had tied up in this stock before today). The 200’ish shares I have remaining were all bought more recently so the average cost is $13.3. I feel like I’m in good shape to maybe double my money there.
