CELG holders will lead the pack for a while. Being bought by Bristol Myers for a hefty premium. Up 30-40% pre-market and will be up more if deal closes.

I think the way the rules are set up is the CELG bet will fall to the shoulders of BMY performance after the close. (Rule 6)

After one day of trading in 2019, below is the ranking for our stocks' YTD performance.

I'd appreciate it if everyone would look at your own results (which I downloaded from MorningStar into my Excel spreadsheet that I then sorted by YTD performance for each player) for any screwy numbers that you don't believe are accurate for the YTD performance. I've looked at the numbers and calculations on my spreadsheet so many times to make sure they are accurate that my eyes are crossed. lol

The YTD % performance for each player is the simple average of the each person's five stocks' YTD performance. So, add up your five stocks YTD performance and divide by 5.

So let me know if you see something that you believe I need to look at. Thanks.

For "theOG" congrats on being first.

Now the bad news: for some reason MorningStar is not calculating STNE's YTD performance. I calculated it myself manually and posted it into the 'vlookup' table in my Excel worksheet. That's easy to do after only one day, but I'd prefer not to have to do that every time I post an update.

If MorningStar continues to not update STNE's YTD performance I'll let you know and you may have to find another stock to replace it. Sorry about that.

More is good. But I’m fine with once monthly. It’s less embarrassing than twice weekly.

I vote every other week (or even weekly), if that’s not too burdensome. I’m sure your schedule may not permit a Friday each week so ballpark it and do it twice per month. As posted previously it should generate good discussion & make for a great 2019 thread.



Now get out there and buy some of these fricking companies, gentlemen! We need to stablize this market, TD style. (Not a real recommendation).

Would love a twice monthly update for more discussion if time permits. Don't stress too much if you have a busy stretch in rl though. Tough start for the 10 of the 55 that chose apple today
