Does it cost more to renew license online in Louisiana than it does in person?

You can do it through LA Wallet in seconds and they will mail you a new one. It’s $55 vs $35ish in person. Worth it to me to avoid a trip to ABC title or dmv.

La wallet is real convenient
Gotta be at least 90 days out to renew on la wallet though.

COVID was forcing the Chalmette DMV to do appointments only.
I was able to book an appointment via their website about 3 weeks out. Super easy. Was in and out in less than 20 minutes.
I was unable to renew online / LA Wallet because you can't renew online 2x in a row.

Go to one of your local title places now handling them. I've used ABC title twice now and been in and out in probably 15 minutes both times. One was a liscense replacement and once was a drivers permit for daughter. Never stepping foot in a DMV again!

Here in MS, we can renew online every other time
Haven’t been in a DMV in several years. It was like $20 or something and they mail it right to my house .
Few clicks of the button to say nothing has changed and bam it’s done. Couldn’t be easier

I went to the express DMV on Perkins last week and my license renewal was $53! I grabbed $40 cash thinking that was plenty 
I had to walk my stupid arse back across the parking lot to get another $20 from the atm.
That place is not express and it’s cash only. The closest working atm was across the parking lot at circle k.
