Safe harbor plan

We match 4% each paycheck. But this year my age + years of service means 11% safe harbor. Great bonus this (and most) year. They'll have to run me off at this point.

100% match up to 6% with an additional 2% added in as well. So I guess its 8% I put 10% of my own in so I guess I have 18% of whatever I make per year put in. Not too bad. Helps out considering our pension is mediocre as frick. $52 per year of service per month. So if I do 30 years I'll get $1560/mo in retirement. It's not much but better than nothing, honestly id rather have a bigger 401k match over that.

Do you pay into SS as well? With that, the pension and a healthy 401k youi could have a very comfortable retirement.

Does your company start with a G? We must work for the same company, as I just received the same news.

If I contribute 6%, they will match 5%. Then they give an additional 5% regardless of contribution. So 10% overall.

My first job out of college was 10% company contribution, no need to contribute as an individual to get the 10%, 3-year vesting schedule. Talk about SPOILED.

We get 10% of our salary whether we contribute any ourselves or not , and our salaries are generally on the high end for our area and for most positions here. They treat us well.

I get 50% match up to 6% of my investment (3% if I put in at least 6%). For a small company that doesn't even offer health insurance, this is a nice fringe benefit.

Mine matches my pension contribution 100%

At this point they match up to a certain percentage of my salary. So if I add 20% of salary to my pension contribution, my employer matches it all.

That being said, it’s matched based off of years with the company. Longer you’ve been there, the higher percentage they meet

Ours is dollar for dollar on the 1st 1% and 50 cents per dollar on the next 5%, for a total of 3.5% if you contribute 6% or more.

Many of us are also grandfathered into a pension that will give 1% per year of service, so mine will be about 15% of my salary for life when I retire. The younger employees that are ineligible for the pension get an additional 2% contributed to their 401k instead.

Mine just does 50% on the dollar up to 4% contribution from me (I put in 4, they put in 2).

My wife's company does 80% on the dollar up to 5% from her (she puts in 5, they put in 4).

ETA: apparently I have the shittiest match in this thread
