Their fees seem higher than market. That's all I got (other than the general stance of not giving someone a percentage of my money).

I don’t like that Fisher guy who does his own commercials. Also, their slogan on fees, that says “When you do better, we do better”, basically means they charge a % of your total assists each year, which I do not like.

So no, I will never use them when there are so many other options.

Very cookie cutter approach with high minimums and fees.

Management fee is a little high but you get a real money manager, not a broker selling products. So none of the expense ratios, hidden cost and conflicts of interest. You get Ken Fisher’s stock and bond picks. How individualized do people really need? There are only so many companies worth owning.

I met with them 3 years ago. They told me to liquidate all of the mutual funds and give them the funds to manage at 1% a year. The taxes would have been high 6 figures, they told me that I would make it back very quickly, I told them that I was not a player with their caviler attitude toward me and the tax bill.

1% AUM fee is robbery.

Even the least financially savvy investor can set up auto transfers into Vanguard’s VOO (S&P 500) and let compounding do its glorious magic.

Example: 1% AUM fee on a $1 million portfolio for 20-yrs is $220,000 of fees and opportunity cost. FAs are not worth it over time most of the time.

Keep your $220,000 working for you, and not a FA.
