If I have enough money, the friends (and women) will follow.

Agreed.

Still selling my calls right before earnings though because I think last week scared people so they will be dumping to take profits.

You can buy my calls and hold them through earnings if you'd like.

Are you trading or investing?

Best to know the answer to that question before buying the first share of XYZ.

It would seem to me investing at the highs means there is nothing but lows ahead. I know people get fed the drivel that there "is no bad point to enter the market". That may be true for 10-25 year investments.

Not so much for the 0-3 year investor.

Its not timing the market, it’s time in the market.

Before the recent records, there were previous records, and records before that and so on.

Just because on xyz day the market is at an all-time high doesn’t mean a ceiling has been set

Do you think anyone is smart enough to consistently time the entry and exit over a 0-3 year period? Let me rephrase that, over a 1-3 year period. Anything needed in under 12 months should not be in the market.

I'm just saying this. You invest in a stock that's $60 right now, all time high. You wait 10 years. That stock is trading at 48.

That seems to be the case with a ton of stocks right now.

I do. I just play around with a few thousand dollars. I'm just wondering under what conditions would a stock trading at $60 now, trades for less than that 5-10 years from now, would you make any money other than say a dividend. If it splits?
