re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

From my gathering they’re seeking financing for this project and It can essentially come in 5 different ways.
Through current or future partnerships.
1. Government grants through infrastructure bill.
2. Increased partnership through Lanxess. (Think they got first right of refusal for funding this?)
3. Pre-funded offtake agreements
4. Debt financing
5. Stock dilution
So there’s a lot of variables. We’re coming up on holiday season and year end which could make decision making for partners slow and difficult.
Im hopeful that a financing deal will get done prior to end of Q1 and I’d feel more comfortable if that was the said target.

I'm getting the sense that the racing turtle has put itself on a fence post because they don't have the money to put this thing in gear.
Interest rates are too high to do a big borrow and the stock price is way too low to dilute and raise big money. As noted before, maybe they want to get swallowed by a big fish with deep pockets but the economy's shaky legs make that harder.
I think that it would really help if the demo plant can be put into actual production with a bit of a revenue stream to build confidence.

I view SLI like I do the other lithium plays. They are all probably going to zero. I put some in LLKkF and CYDVF just because they were so cheap.
I probably lost my 5k. I had made some on the run of SLI, so I am up and I still have a spin on the wheel to see.

Link Feds gift Albemarle $90M for future hard rock lithium mining in South Carolina.
Link Albemarle's March PR re South Carolina facility plans.
Not sure what to do with this but for comparison:
Start Construction
SC plant: "late in 2024"
SWA plant: "2025"
Capex
SC plant: "at least $1.3B"
SWA plant: $1.3B
Tons Lithium Hydroxide
SC plant: 50,000
SWA plant: 30,000
SC plant expected to also get lithium from recycled batteries and has "potential to expand up to 100,000 metric tons" of lithium hydroxide produced per year.
Pretending that SLI will meet their projected ground-breaking timeline, why shouldn't we be expecting a federal grant announcement soon in light of this?

If it was my money (kinda is) I'd give it to the entity that has a proven track record of success and a long history of producing and selling products.
Had SLI been further down the path of this build like we all thought they would, then maybe. Maybe they would be given a grant to expand their "proven" production.
They simply haven proven anything to many (if any) people outside of this bubble. Don't see how they deserve a grant at this point.

I've seen money tossed out by gov't for more ridiculous ventures. Maybe if they would conduct a study on transgender owls in the area?

I was hoping y'all would forget about that.
I got stood up so I'm embarrassed. Had a meeting scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday and....nothing. They've ghosted me ever since. Been eating ice cream and watching 'He's just not that into you' on repeat.

yikes. I wonder whats going through their heads right now. Allysa decides to start posting on Facebook and is met with overwhelming scrutiny. I bet that didnt go as she planned. Then she tells everyone through email that they can set up phone calls. Youve been talking to them more than anyone in this thread. A new poster is trying to set up a Zoom call with multiple investors. Now theyre ghosting.
Im not sure its safe for Allysa to post anything on social media now.

Haha - I'm not selling yet. Gotta be honest, though, I'm considering it if they don't clear up that timeline for me soon. Won't totally offload, but will reduce position with the intent to buy back in a few months.

Yup - I'm sure she's been doing nothing but phone calls the past few days but the no-show and failure to follow up is concerning.
I'm wondering if they gagged her because of the negative responses she was getting.

SLI is the cleanest, greenest project around and it has proven itself. Given all of the "green" turkeys that DC has "invested" in this is one that would be an actual winner.
This is why the next PR play should be to finish whatever royalty agreements are involved and to put the demo plant into full time production. It might not be a lot of revenue, but it would be some and better yet a symbol of potential in a vast resource that is clean.

Interesting.. she did call me earlier this week. I had not said anything bc I didn’t want to dox myself but also knew you had planned to talk to them and could have gotten a more in depth convo from them than I could.
Basically the info I got was the next step for them would be financing for this project phase 1 and there were many variables of where it could come from (see my previous post of the 5 sources). I want to believe she said Lanxess had first right of refusal for financing and there was a deadline to that coming in mid October but don’t hold me to that.
Beyond that, we’re heading into holiday seasons where things typically drag out into the new year anyway. So I guess that makes some sense that partners both present and or future may not want to make a deal until the new year?
Anyway, she was very hopeful something would get done in Q1 of ‘24.
I felt better hearing her day all this but it didn’t really provide a clean direction either.
