Sounds nice, but all of mine are lent out. And looking back, it does vary from day to day, so it might just be a blip on yours. (or mine)

ETA: I just realized that on one of my accounts (Fidelity), it shows who the shares were lent to... Century Lithium Corp.

On a similar but different note, I wonder why do some many “lithium” companies have HQ’s in Vancouver?

Wait what's happening? A company using Koch's tech is betting against SLI who is also using Koch's tech?

Imagine having to explain that to your shareholders, how you thought it was a good idea to short your competitors stock…

My shares have been lent out since January with no breaks. I have had no shares lent since May 31st. Interesting.

For anyone interested, long interview with Mintak posted yesterday. I watched the YouTube video, but there appears to be an audio option as well.

I don't recall anything flashy from it, but it was neat hearing him talk about how their relationships with Lanxess and Tetra came about.

My shares are still all out, but the settling of short positions makes sense with the DFS results expected any time now. See how high they let it climb before piling back in. Would love to get back to that Koch entry point soon and establish a new trading range there.

While Chile has announced that all new lithium projects in the country will be required to use DLE technologies, it has not announced what companies it will be partnering with for these new projects.

Overall, lithium production from DLE is projected to grow from about 54,000 metric tons today to 647,500 metric tons by 2032, according to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence. That’s forecast to be worth about $21.6 billion.

Interesting article.

I'm glad SLI has it's patents. Licensing patents in high demand can be extremely lucrative.

I worked with a guy who is probably the best patent lawyer in the country. Many patent lawyers get lost in the technical weeds putting judges and juries to sleep, but Matt truly "gets it."

Not sure the exact formula but it's just a function of supply and demand. If more people are asking for shares to short they will increase the interest; I think it is more to make it more expensive to borrow so that demand goes down. Increasing supply by 'paying more' is more difficult because of exposure.

Just an educated guess, though, I'm sure it's much more calculated than I am making it out to be.
