re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

Okay the investor presentation just ended. It really wasn’t anything new and I doubt it will impact the daily trading. We were already down premarket so I suspect it’ll be another red day, but it’s not because of what was said on the call.
The highlights (I’m not going to rehash the same old talking points, but it was a really impressive presentation for an investor that knows nothing about the company):
• At the Lanxess site they have identified the 60 acre plot where the south plant will be built, and they are currently negotiating the lease agreement for that plot with Lanxess
• Permitting not an issue at all for any of the sites; expect a 6 month or less permitting process which will run in parallel with the construction
• Mintak took a jab at US peers, saying that what differentiates SLI from other US lithium juniors:
“Well, I wish them all well, because we actually have a running plant. You can see here (showing a drone shot of the plant) we have a parking lot. They don’t even have a parking lot.”
• Not new, but SW Ark NPV is ~$3B at $14,500/ton LiOH which is very attractive at about a 33% post tax return. He did not speak to this, but current lithium hydroxide price is $75,000/ton. At that price, NPV would be well over $10B. Obviously, they are being very conservative with these economic studies because of the volatility of lithium pricing.
• They expect the preliminary feasibility study to be done at the SWA plant in early 2023
• Predict total buildout of the Lanxess and SWA plants to be completed within a decade
• It wasn’t part of the presentation, but an audience question regarding their current cash position getting them through the end of the economic studies spurred Mintak to finally talk about DFS/FEED for the Lanx plant. He said the DFS will be kicking off “soon…well, any day now, actually”. They are aggressively trying to have that done by the end of the year. I doubt that’s going to happen, they’re already a couple months behind on it, but that’s what he said. He said they anticipate about half of their cash remaining (~$60M) by the time the FID is made.
And that was about it for this one. Again, it was a new slide deck and really impressive so if you’re trying to get up to speed or let someone know about SLI, would definitely advise looking it up. But all in all, not really anything we didn’t know already.

Making big money moves.
Word on the street is they’re installing a security gate and water fountains next.

Thank you for the rundown Fe_Mike... maybe you should do that daily.
We've had a good month today.

Back up sharply this morning. Half happy, but half waiting for the next cliff dive.

Big(ger than average) volume too.
Yeh, in the absence of news all the running feels not quite sustainable. Maybe the DFS award can support it but...I dunno. We'll see.
Nicer to be hanging out up here for a bit rather than at sub $4 though.

Growth and speculative stocks across the market are recovering, so it's not just SLI having some anomalous rise. The signs of inflation reversing (which may lead to speculation the Fed will slow their rate increases) has money coming back to these risky small cap stocks that have been bludgeoned for the last 18 months.

Yea, If this goes above my average, then I'm setting a stop loss. I think we will crash back to 4s again. I'll load even more at that point. This market feels like smoke and mirrors.
