It is the company that helped seal the deal with Koch. They were rewarded cash and 120k shares for that role, half of which is contingent on completion of 1st Lanxess plant. They also gave SLI a strong buy upgrade with a lofty target shortly after they acquired shares.

I'd love to see some of the Piedmont phenomena come our way.
Piedmont was running at $7 a share and then a Musk email interest launched it to $70 practically overnight.
The Piedmont resources are proven, but they haven't built a thing, didn't have permits and had no revenue.

That’s exactly what investment bankers do. They source capital investments for their clients. Do you expect them to work for free? Are you implying they did something unethical? Disclosure: I’m long SLI and have no opinion on Stifel.
