re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

Koch responded with this statement: “As with all of our investments, Koch has conducted extensive due diligence and found Standard Lithium’s technology a promising bright spot on the path towards lithium production here in the U.S. We remain excited to continue fostering innovation and growing the battery value chain across the Koch enterprise.”
It should be noted that Koch legally cannot exit even if they intended to. I believe until end of March.
As expected, Lanxess has not, and likely will not respond immediately.

They were studying and in discussions with SLI since march of last year ... no way their DD was that bad and a short company is better at background checks.
More likely that koch's wants to buy the whole thing and is playing dirty to sink share price than it is they just whiffed on 100M investment from a used car salesman

Up 13% early in Germany. Huge volume in the 1st hour.

Very irresponsible of Lanxess to allow this scam company to hookup to their multi-million dollar facility and potentially create disruptions and regulatory issues. That's two gigantic chemical companies with an enormous amount of experience that didn't do their DD. Not to mention all the highly experience professionals who accepted jobs with SLI and didn't do their DD. Gotta do your DD people!

Yea, I transferred money into my account and bought about 2000 shares in the 5.20s yesterday afternoon.
Don't intend to hold on to em, just gonna see the action at open and dump them, i already have enough exposure. As soon as I saw press release and Koch response, I started buying, couldn't resist.
First order in general for me that wasn't a sell since mid decemeber, was exhilarating.

If it goes to 7.60 again, Im out with most of my shares. I have some stupid high ones I bought during the run up so those can just sit and wait forever.

Apparently Sli already has their patent in Russia and it’s under examination here

Bought at 5.30 last night and sold at 6 this morning.
Just didn’t buy enough

Did some quick research on the most recent Hindenburg hit pieces. It seems to me they were mostly taking advantage of companies whose stock was already in decline or markets in decline. I would be curious to know if they had short positions in those companies at the same time.
Lordstown was already down 45% from recent high
Ormat was already down 31% from recent high
Clover was already down 25% from recent high
Nikola was already down 64% from recent high
Haven't read the reports on these, but they seem to be taking advantage of current sentiment at the time of publication and not adding anything new. Just piling on the hysteria, which is a great way to create a misleading track record of success.

If it goes up to 12 again I’ll just chicken out and not sell and ride it back down
Poor forever

Yeah I don't think it goes back over $8 again until agreement with Lanxess reached on first plant (at which point it might go to $10+). Might see $4 before $8 if broader market tanks 15-20%+.

Yep. They need a firm deal in place to make any sort of move.
Was really hoping it was about to settle in the $7-8 range for the wait til that damn hit piece happened yesterday. Now it certainly feels like $5-7 is gonna be the trading range, unless as you said the market puts more downward pressure on it.

Being long I actually prefer a bit lower trading range until the late '23-25 liftoff, easier to add shares and DCA'ing doesn't blow up my average cost as bad.
