re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

I sold out earlier today. SLI at 7.15 got above my cost basis of 6.93
ORGN sold at 5.80 cost avg was 6.23
That’s the only 2 I had left with a significant amount of shares. I kept a small amount of each like I did with the other stocks I’ve sold the past few weeks but I’m like you I’m 90% out.
I don’t see the next few months going very good. Me and the Fiancée have about 700k in safe investments like mutual funds and such for retirement. Another 500k in CDs which is safe. Not sure whether to pull out the 700 or not. It’s not high risk but if market crashes could be bad. Granted it’s a 10-20 year hold and would recover eventually, but thinking should I pull out now and wait for a market crash and then put it back in. I just don’t know

PR doesn't make money; and that isn't happening in the next few months. This is how the market should work. I think they are still on track, I'm in it until they fail or mine lithium, and in the meantime, buying when it's cheap. I hope they don't focus on PR and shite that doesn't matter at this stage, work on the actual business, the perception will work itself out.
Amen, brother! Preach it! Enron had fantastic PR. But PR without results is meaningless.

Netflix exceeding earnings, they missed on subscriber growth but I’m not sure why that’s causing a panic. Something like Netflix will eventually run out of new people to subscribe to it. As long as it’s profitable it’s solid

I do think ORGN is a $50+ stock five years from now, but it might see $3 before $10. It will separate itself from other deSPAC’s eventually.

What is their projected timeline before they start making a significant revenue from their upcoming contracts?
I haven't done enough reading to know as much as I'd like to know about the company

Mutual funds might not be safe either bro. Broader indices are likely to dump hard over the next few months.
I might just YOLO into ASTS if it goes sub $3, lol. BW3 launch is on for June now so that’s a good sign.

O1 factory (pilot plant) likely to be finished by Q3 with revenues starting in ‘23. O2 and O3 factories (full scale plants) slated to be built in ‘24/25 with revenues hitting in ‘25/26.
Main near term risk is broader macro market, that’s the main reason I’m not diving in head over feet on it.
Main long term risk is the ability of the tech to scale up from pilot to commercial scale.
But assuming it works, it’s an even bigger no brainer than SLI given all the ESG tailwinds and focus on carbon negative processes. Also looks more attractive the more oil goes up in price. Heavy insider buying and $3.5/share of cash on the balance sheet limits downside. $4B of offtake agreements signed already.
I’m expecting it to drop into the $4’s but will start adding it then. Would like to get 100K shares in the $3-5 range.
You can see their Q3 presentation in the link below...

Thanks. I'll watch the presentation
Read through it. On paper it seems like a very promising company. Massive presentation but no revenue right now

If it gets in that range I’ll need the number to the plasma center. I’m pushing all in.

Great news! I forgot about this, but I remember your daughter's story on here. Keep us updated on her going home.
Well today’s close sucked, but on the bright side we found out our firstborn is finally coming home next week! On her 8 mo. birthday. She is coming home with a trach meaning she will be on a vent and we will be very limited in mobility the next couple years while she has it. In most cases though premature babies lungs have matured enough by that stage and will get decannulated at that point and are able to go about their lives normally after playing a little bit of catch up! We’re very blessed to have her home after all she’s overcome to reach this point.

Congrats, I'm about a couple a weeks away from having my first born, could be any day now, I cant imagine how difficult that's been to not be able to bring her home and get settled. But man, what a strong kid you got, fighting battles at the beginning and winning, pure strength, really makes losing a % or 2 come into perspective.

Beautiful! Thanks for posting! Happy you get to get her home bro!

Damn, what happened in here? It's depressing. I should've been paying more attention to this thread, didn't realize everyone was selling off. WTF? I was going to come ask if people were buying at this range and saw this thread of negativity

Bidenitis. Like COVID but actually is a threat. Delays have killed the 30% monthly returns and a down market shitting on growth stocks hasn't helped. So far my plan to take long term profits and reinvest them elsewhere for the time being has paid off. Plan has been to slowly rebuild my position while SLI treads water. Also rolling the dice on a market dive.

idk what to do man
feel like if i sell now ima have to pay like 50 grand in taxes which is dropping like 1.50 in share value
plus it might go up and ill look dumb if i sold
I kind of expect to live in the millenial great depression with dirt on my face for the rest of my life while boomers like mark zuckerberg live forever in their sky forts
it'd be better if they let us fight for their amusement instead of making us go to work though
ETA: Im like all sli and penny stocks which have already been in the shitter for months so i might be ok but who knows
