Has al-ion made it out of a laboratory setting? Last I saw it hadn't. I don't believe it will be a threat until after you start seeing it in phones and small devices.

PR came out this morning on the Koch offering placement which has now been executed. Main new news in there is that Koch has a right of first offer on any additional equity financings for the next five years (which I see as another bullish sign, for long term investors at least).

The placement agent got paid $5M and >300K warrants in stock. Downright criminal what placement agents get paid for the relatively minor amount of work they do. Sometimes I think I'm in the wrong line of work!

This is the damn PR that needs some attention! Koch needs to use some it's stroke to get THIS news out.

Meanwhile, TDA is STILL emailing and listing PR's of effing class action investigations.

Also, Koch must hold the shares for a period of 4 months before selling.

Good morning General,
Based on your optimism combined with others' view on lithium I opened an account and purchased SLI shares. It happened to be on the dip 11-18-2021 at a price of $7.93 a share and have made small subsequent purchases totaling 400 + shares. I will receive a RMD in a few days from an IRA. I would appreciate some investing guidance such as other mining stocks or a larger position with SLI.

Well just to be clear, nothing I post on here is "investment advice", you should buy or sell on your own DD.

Given the Koch news, SLI is clearly my favorite in the lithium space. For a more diversified exposure, the lithium ETF (LIT) is worth a look. Other potential plays in the lithium space are ALB, LAC, LLKKF, CYDVF, LISMF, CXOXF, RHHNF, etc.

I also have other speculative positions in ASTS, ORGN, SABS, HUMA, BRPHF, and NVVE. They are all very high risk stocks that can go to zero, or can be multi baggers, so position sizing is important to keep in mind. I would not touch ASTS until the launch delay news drops in the next few days or so, looking to load a dip there big time. ORGN is my highest confidence play out of those other picks, but it's a long term hold that likely won't move much for the next 6-12 months. SABS is a good "doomsday" stock, nice as a portfolio hedge, that could moon if COVID continues to dominate the headlines and they get EUA for their polyclonal antibodies to treat COVID.

Just looked into their holdings.... the majority have 100X+ P/E ratios. If SLI gets the same forward looking love when projects come online and EPS trickles in the price will be out of sight.

Add some hype around the green and domestic tech and this is primed to explode w/ properly managed news cycle and road to revenue communications

Another dle lithium company signs a deal with an automaker. This time it's Vulcan Energy Resources signed a deal to provide lithium to Stellantis (Fiat, Chrysler).

This time it's in the Rhine Valley of Germany, where they'll basically be doing the same thing as SLI.....

"Vulcan Energy Resources will produce battery-grade lithium hydroxide from a brine project in the Upper Rhine Valley in Germany. Generally, lithium is produced either via hard rock mining or from brine deposit extraction. While both have environmental drawbacks, Vulcan’s site will use renewable geothermal energy to power the lithium extraction process.

The project will also re-inject the spent brine in a closed-loop cycle, leaving no residual waste, such as production tailings. The project in Germany will use a fraction of water and land compared to other brine projects, such as those found in South America – which means a smaller carbon footprint and potentially a lower operational expenditure, the German-Australian company added on its website."

Based on signing a deal with Fiat/Chrysler, Vulcan Energy seemed worth a look.

Based on their website, they look like they're where SLI was about 2-3 years ago, pretty easy reading:

Vulcan Energy Website, Learning More about DLE

They make it sound like a simple process, just buy some adsorbant from Dupont, then run it through some electricity and profit. It is a pretty website.

Then again, maybe SLI is just slow?

I'm out of that one until they get their earnings snafu fixed and earnings comes out. Will reassess at that point. Space stocks are just a brutal hold right now and that position was an easy one to switch to cash right now given market turbulence.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have been all in with DD since Bill Arnsparger was HC. At that time I opened an account with Merrill Lynch and closed it a year later when I realized that it was being churned as opposed to being invested. After that I became a "mutual fund junkie" and bought into the IRA concept.
My employer started a 401K plan in the mid 90's. In recent years I have been able to move in and out of S & P 500 and Stable Value with swings in he market. Almost every year I have been able to exceed market averages but you would characterize me as conservative. Some speculation is good for me at this time. Appreciate you.

SLI isn't. Picked up 5500 more shares yesterday. Gonna take some Tesla profits from my accidental buy to add more SLI. ORGN. CHGG. Maybe add to my MTDR. Watching T. Ran shitty but recent moves may help. Good hedge for a big crash or correction with a 8%+ dividend. Trying to build my cash up more as well. Too many decisions.

If they get approval, their tech can treat all strains of COVID so far, plus RSV, Flu etc. Could be HUGE. Especially since the vaccines are becoming less and less effective but promote formation of variants and increase spread.

I'm in ORGN, SABS, DMTK, SLI and maybe one I'm forgetting for my speculative stocks. I don't consider SLI speculative anymore, but technically it still us until we get commercial production. And I think it will be sooner than we'd expected with Lanxess. I think Koch may have been in Mintak's back pocket for a bit. I don't know this for sure, but I think SLI told Lanxess to shite or get off the pot. They sat and probably negated something in JV that would delay SLI's development of other sites/partnerships until Lanxess was going. I misread Lanxess. I don't think they were down on SLI, I think they were having to eat shite sandwiches when they had that last call. SLI in driver's seat now.
