Has Standard Lithium secured any buyers of their refined lithium as of yet?
Lanxess will buy all of their initial product, is my guess.

New video put out over the weekend by Crux Investor on STLHF... Highlights:
Planning on cementing JV in 1H 2021
Uplisting to NYSE in 2H 2021
They estimate enough lithium in Smackover formation to supply world demand for several decades

I saw that interview and it was great.
But can anyone help me with a general valuation of the company at full scale production and the price of Lithium.
I’m wondering how profitable it could be and what that would command share price wise in comparison to today.

Total lithium production in 2020 was about 82,000 tons.
Standard Lithium's potential lease resources are projected at 3.8 million tons and it looks like they can extract it at a fraction of the cost of conventional methods.

8.3 or 3.88 million tons? Most I’ve seen is 3.88 with current leases. Which is still a lot and would supply CURRENT lithium demand for decades. I think they’ll start at about 50-75,000 tons depending on lithium prices. After finished optimization of process. STLHF is proceeding forward as we speak. Not sure how much they are planning to produce initially or if they have a buyer, but under the terms of the agreement with lanxess, they get to operate and keep all revenue for the first 12-24 months. Have a feeling you’ll see STLHF insiders snapping up shares once they have cash flow. Maybe a stock buyback to increase companies ownership stake especially after it was diluted w special offerings last spring and the 13.5 million share public offering in December to fund operations and prep to hit the ground running once border opens. They don’t need lanxess’s ok to start producing. Lanxess May shite the bed by waiting. I can see STLHF making the moves to get the 60-40 split instead of 70/30. The money they are spending now is what LNXSF was supposed to be funding but won’t until they can see it and vet it with their people. That’s just due diligence and how they operate. I personally don’t think a buyout is on the table anymore. And STLHF has made some other moves locally that further confirm that things are moving forward and likely in next 3-4 weeks. Sooner if surprise border opening.

How profitable? Great question. We’ve been trying to figure that out for a year now. Will help when we see actual, proven costs of extraction per ton. The rest is highly speculative based on future lithium prices. My suspicion is that Tesla has secured their production at a higher than current price. Just a hunch based on more than just rumors but definitely nothing that has not changed how or how much I have or will invest. So don’t misinterpret that. I may just be hearing/seeing selectively. I’m just thinking that if I’m musk and I can get the lowest priced lithium at a high cost now versus paying much higher in future then I’d do it. Plus they are the only “green” producer.

Low end? I think $15-20 in next one to two years. Five to ten years? $30-50 but depending on Lithium demand and prices, which leads to speculation, the sky is the limit.
But I still can’t decide on a price I’d start selling!

Seeking Alpha article out today on Standard Lithium. I don't think we're going to be so under the radar for much longer!

Some highlights:
quote:
With commercial construction planned to start this year, following the final investment decision and signing of the JV agreement, Standard Lithium's Smackover project could begin production. The company plans to operate at a cost of $3,107 per ton of lithium carbonate, while lithium prices are still up in the air.
quote:
Lanxess will buy 100% of the company's initial offtake, meaning a fixed price is rather likely for the agreement. Lanxess plans to convert the lithium carbonate into lithium hexafluorophosphate, which is used in battery electrolytes.
quote:
Moving on the finances, of often the greatest point of uncertainty for lithium juniors, the prioritization of risk management truly begins to shine. The partnership with Lanxess, which sees the latter take 100% of the initial offtake and provide some project finance, dramatically reduces the strain placed on the company. With the offtake guaranteed, the company will likely find greater ease when approaching loaners as cash flows are guaranteed as well. The $437 million expected CAPEX for the initial 20,900 tons, which includes a 25% contingency, should, as a result, see a fairly easy move to production. With Lanxess' experience running 60 brine operations around the world, the operations of the plant should progress relatively scot-free.

No! I’m way late to the game and need more... I only have 200 shares at $2.60

2.60 is a good buy point
200 shares... better than zero

You are not too late. My cost average is about the same. Just have to get your number of shares up.

That was a very good article covering some aspects beyond what has been unearthed here.

Up to $2.75 this morning... nice first step back above $3 where this should belong.

All I can say is hold those shares. I added a few more today. Just couldn't stand it.
