I suggest going back and reading. It’s been a fun follow. I started around page 30 something if i remember right. After reading the whole thread up to that point it convinced me this was a great opportunity. Have read every single post since then……sadly…….maybe….. i dunno

She’s been in the NICU since she was born, and probably has a few more months to go. The stress has been enough to knock us out cold every night but am ready for the sleepless nights once she comes home

My brothers spent quite a while in the NICU after he was born. I remember it taking a toll on my parents. As a father of 3, one of them being my first daughter of 3 months, I can't imagine doing that as a parent.
All this you're going through will just make you appreciate the normal times you have afterwards even more. Here is to quick recovery

TIA for all your well wishes. Congrats on your 3rd! It’s been rough at times but we have a great support system.
SLIs been a good distraction too. Had enough good days recently that my wife’s been asking me how much money did we make today? She thinks this is our daughters college fund but I’m banking on this being our retirement! Guess we’ll have to see how ridiculous tuition is in 18 years

She was born with heart block, but yes she’s suffering the most from premature lungs since she was born at 26 weeks.

Prayers. They've come a long way with treatments. My grandson (I'm a young grandfather) was about 6-7 weeks early. White male babies have the slowest lung development. He had to stay almost 3 weeks last September. Was still 7lbs and 1oz. He's a monster.

My niece was as well and spent the first couple weeks of her life in the NICU also. Brother and fam just stopped by my place in Chicago on the way back south on Tuesday and she's a smart, healthy 8 year old.

My son was born at 27 weeks. He was in the NICU for 10 weeks and a couple surgeries. You meet some amazing people there. He’s 15 now and has no issues from being early.
