Well shite. Now I’m wondering if I should have done the cash instead of the regular ink.

Yeah, I’m just too busy and lazy
to MS. But the more I see what I can do with UR, I know i need to do MS more. I do some here and there but the OD certainly sounds like the way to go. Right now I have Ink +, Cash, Preferred, and CSR but I’ll get rid of Preferred for sure before AF. Just need to decide on + but I’ll likely keep it.

Why are you getting rid of the preferred? What cards will you be using instead?
Got the wife’s LLC to sign up for the preferred so we can use that as our gas card/ at Costco since we don’t already have a Visa.
I already have the AMEX Platinum (primarily for the benefits and booking flights)
Barclay Arrival Plus (for travel and every day use)
Figured the ink would be a good addition for gas cards, paying for internet, etc.

Question for you CC reward Gurus...I am looking to get a card or two for a LLC of mine. I see the Ink Business Preferred has "Earn 3 points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases on travel, shipping purchases, Internet, cable and phone services, and on advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines each account anniversary year"
Would me paying someone to revamp my website fall under the advertising portion? If not is there a better card that would?
Also if I pay my UPS invoices with this card would that fall under "shipping purchases"?

That’s the one the wife just signed up for.
There’s an 80k sign up bonus right now too.

Yea thats one of the reasons I was looking...just not sure if what I plan to spend it on will count for it.

For whatever reason I just hate everything about the MO process.
I look for anything that is more couch friendly.

The Ink +, which I have, is a better card than the Proffered so I don't need it. I wanted the 80k bonus so I got it and will dump it.

Yes, get it and with the Preferred you're good to go. Or a CSP/CSR.

Depends on how the transaction is coded, but if I had to guess it would not be. Since it's a transaction with a vendor or independent consultant, I think that it would probably be best to look at something that was a cash back card at around 1.5 or 2%. There are a couple out there.
I think UPS invoices would fall under shipping purchases.

Chase just released their Business Unlimited 1.5% card last week.
It's probably very likely a Business version of Sapphire Reserve is on the horizon as they get their business and personal divisions harmonized.

FYI MPX is coding merchants correctly again

Wait, are you saying to get the preferred and plus?
Posted on 5/31/18 at 9:13 pm to Sho Nuff
IM not doing the CSR because of the AF.
I have the platinum for the low low price of free already.

Does CSR waive fee for active military?
Posted on 6/1/18 at 1:44 pm to hiltacular
Nope. I asked and they said they don’t because they offer cheaper cards.
I told them AMEX Platinum waives my AF but they didn’t care. Oh well. Their loss. I would be throwing a ton on that card if they had.

Are the Chase ink plus and chase ink preferred now “combined” offers. Meaning you can only get one or the other in the 2 year period now. That is how the CSP and CSR are treated now. Lame.

My wife has had the CSP for 3 years and just applied for the CSR. We didn’t know about the rule that you can only have one and she was rejected.
At his point can she cancel the CSP and reapply for the CSR a week later? Or has she been flagged after just getting rejected? Again it has been 3 years since she got the CSP sign up bonus.

You can upgrade from csp to CSR. Just call Chase. Pretty sure you don't get the sign up bonus though
