Haha. No way I do this. I actually need to make 2 AirBnB bookings that are worth about $5k in total.
My plan was to buy Amazin GCs at Gas station for 5x, then buy AirBnB GCs on Amazon for 3x Jet Blue then book the place through delta for 3x Delta. But if the highest I can find is $25, I will not go around buying 100+ GCs and then load them onto my account. 2nd option is Office Max with Ink+. Wonder what is the max that they sell. Also I like to ease up on Ink whenever I can. Not really sure this qualifies as MS though.

They definitely sell upwards of $100. It may be higher to $500, but I can't recall. $100 though is definite.
Though, it really isn't as much of an issue to grab multiple 100s

I just got my Chase Hyatt card and if I ad wife as authorized user I get 5k bonus points. Plan is for her to get her own Hyatt card at end of this year. Will adding her on my account screw up her being able to get her own card later? Get her card on my account now and cancel in a couple months? Leave it open? Thanks for info.

It will not "count against her"
However, it will add an open account to her credit report and therefore, future cards from Chase may be an issue. With exceptions, they will not approve a card if it will be your 6th open card account in the last 24 months, regardless of what bank the account was opened with.

Some office maxes sell the Amazon cards where you can name your amount up to $500. On occasion the one near my house has said credit cards can't be used for those. But it has been intermittently enforced.
Even if you end up buying multiple cards, it is very easy to load them on the app using the camera on your phone instead of typing in the codes.

Where's Afro? Haven't seen him in awhile.
Also, got my official denial letter from BofA Merrill lynch and reason stated...I already have sufficient credit. Haha

I've been thinking the same thing.
I recall he was having a kid and stuff so the travel opportunities were going away so he didn't have a need to play the game as hard.

Thanks for the info. Will check this evening.
With the $25 GCs it would just be a nightmare keeping them all in order. I feel like it would be easy to lose 1-2 making the whole thing unfruitful. I'm usually very careful but lately have had some bad luck. Still dealing with a bad OV load ($500). Right after I was "stuck" with no-good MC GCs from Sam's. Just to be clear - none of this was due to fraud.
For now I just want to make my life a little easier

Hey y'all. Tried reading the last dozen pages but it was like reading a foreign language
I haven't had a credit card in almost a decade. My credit is now 775-800 range. I am looking at something like the blue cash Amex or one of the capitol one ccash back cards
Can someone maybe do a refresher on which CC are the 'go to' ones now for someone with good credit and looking to pay them off each month. Thanks. I know it's probably been rehashed to death but I have no clue what you guys have been talking about on here

Everyone, EVERYONE, will tell you Chase Sapphire Reserve..and I agree.
See amerikop's post on that one.
Don't let the fee scare you. I'm getting one tomorrow in branch.
Definitely do it in branch to get the 100,000 pt offer.

Thanks for the heads up. Is his post in this thread or is it a separate thread?
Just did a basic search on it..$450.00 annual fee

Copy&Paste
Think about it this way - The CSR comes with a $300 travel credit each calender year. Meaning you get $300 this year, and another $300 in Jan 2018. The AF is charged per card member year. So you could make use of the $300 credit twice and only pay $450 AF this year, and downgrade or cancel before it hits again. Just like that - you are $150 in the black. Then you also consider $100 credit for Global Entry, 100K bonus (so a 50K increment over CSP), lounge access and the ability to redeem points @ 1.5c per point for travel makes this card a no-brainer for year 1.

It's somewhere in here. Google search works pretty well too.
FYI, the fee is waved for the first year.
You get a $300 travel credit every year that you own the CSR. That cancels out some of the $450 fee if you choose to keep the card.
When are you going on vacation? You can spend the bonus points $1500 and then downgrade to a no fee card to avoid the fee altogether (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
For hotels, both the Hyatt and IHG are hard to beat. Also check Amerikop's post about the two Southwest card offers. Their companion pass is pretty badass.
The post is just a few pages back.

So the $450 is applied as soon as you open the account?
I don't know why I thought otherwise!
Edit: just verified. shite!

Are you a Merril Lynch customer? I wanted this card but I was just declined. It went pending review and I called recon. The crazy CR complemented me on my credit file and score but said they can't approve because I have "too much" available credit. What a joke. I hung up and applied for three more BofA cards and was instantly approved. (Wanted that Merrill Lynch though )
Update. Just logged into my BofA account. I have had an Alaska card in the past that I canceled last year, so in the last few days I've tried to log in and it would say "You don't have any products" so it wouldn't let me.
Just logged in and Merrill Lynch is there
Didn't call in, no Merill Lynch relationship.
