All you need to do is call Chase and confirm you signed up via the 50k promo.
Also, typically those points won't show until the end of a statement cycle. You'll be fine, just call to confirm they have the 50k offer attached to your card.
Edit:yes. Like the others above me said also.

It's a 2 minute thing. Mostly taking your picture. Be sure to go on the websites of the airlines you travel and enter your Known Traveler ID number in your profile on each site or you will not be able to use TSA Precheck.

Just had to pay one of my kids tuition and dorm, good news is that they charge no fee for using a credit card so I instantly and easily took care of my $4,000 three month spend requirement for the 100,000 points. I need to make a mental note of this and churn a card that has a bonus every August and January
that's only 2 a year so I should stay under the 5/24 right?

I'd be less annoyed if it took longer. It's the fact that I have to drive from Baton Rouge that's irking me

My buddy had to drive from Columbus to Cleveland to do GE. I had to drive 10 minutes to Dulles Airport.

As I figured, wifey got a letter from Chase saying she was denied because of too many cards in the past 24 months. Should we even try to call recon or that's pretty final? She's got great credit score, income, etc. I am not going to hit myself with a credit check as I got more cards than her

You don't have to stay under the 5/24 to keep the card. Once you got it it's yours unless you do some fraud type stuff. It's only if you want more Chase cards that 5/24 matters.

so if i am in the southwest premiere card with the $99 annual and dont want to have 2 cards that charge fees -- what would be my best option to swap out of that and then apply for the new chase?
Posted on 9/7/16 at 3:33 pm to NoSaint
Swap? Just cancel it.
5/24 rule is a brick wall. Recon will get you nowhere.

i thought there were options to downgrade to a card that was no fee instead of closing the account, but offhand havent really done that so wasnt sure the best options there...
and then apply for the new one as a separate thing.

Even though I knew I was going to be receiving a plastic Reserve card, it was still a bit disappointing when I pulled it out of the envelope

How on earth are you under the limits? Figured you'd be over for sure.

5/24?
This was #5, I believe. I had slowed down to a new card about every six months. This was only something like three months removed from my last card (Sapphire Preferred Round 2) which is what pushed me to five.

Chase Sapphire Reserve - September 2016
Chase Sapphire Preferred - April 2016
Chase Hyatt - February 2016
Barclaycard Arrival+ - October 2015
Chase Ink Plus - May 2015
Just looked through my welcome emails and that's my 24 month window. Looks like I'm shelved until May

Such bullshite this 5/24, why didn't chase tell us they were gonna release this CSR a year ago or something
Posted on 9/8/16 at 11:23 am to Joshjrn
My wife got hers in yesterday and I thought the same thing. No cool packaging, the stamped numbers on the front (that look offcenter), plus the flimsy plastic makes it feel cheap compared to the CSP. Chase must be in a rush to fulfill the orders.
Hopefully once this first card meets the spending requirements and I apply for my own, the metal cards will be available.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I have a quick question.
New Delta AMEX has a $3,000/3 months spending limit to get 75000 miles. Is it possible to Venmo a friend $3,000, pay the 3% fee, and then get the money back to pay the bill? It sounds sketchy to me, but not sketchy enough for me not to try it. I've researched and from what I understand, Venmo is a charge and not a cash advance.
