Okay
Just curious, why do you own the card based on the description of people you just listed?

Had 2 at one point. 1 for me, 1 for SO. 100K points plus $400 Amazon credit for $450. Plus all the fringe benefits you described for a year. Paying $450 without the 100K is out of the question, so cancelled SOs who got it last year. I'll cancel mine next year. Also the fact that I already had the Citi Prestige and wanted to pad MR balance. But like you, I am not representative of the general population.
Note that I didn't mention the $100 GE credit. Because we could have received that from few of our other cards anyway.
ETA: As an addition, I would also never pay $450 just for lounge access. You take Prestige 4th night free away, and I cancel the card (even though it would only cost $200). You take 3x points, 1.5c UR redemption rate from CSR, it becomes a non-keeper. Sign up bonuses are a different beast. I'm just talking about keeper cards. Although I love lounge access, Id be lying if I say I'd pay a penny more just to have it. It is solely a case of pure monetary value for me. I can pay for a $20 meal and a drink at an airport bar if/when I need to. That's 10-15 meals and I get what I want just to break even with the incremental cost of lounge access (@$200 a year). Apart from that, I'd like to spend as little time at an airport as possible, ideally. Which makes lounge access less valuable anyway.

Hmmm I have a guided duck hunting trip in North Texas planned for November. I won't if that would count some way towards the $300 travel credit.

Don't get me wrong, I am 100% cancelling the plat amex if they don't give me a retention offer when my annual fee rolls around
They have given me one the last two years and with the CSR just released, I feel like they will again. I will let you know, it is some time in OCT.

Yeah I know. They have us 15K MR retention offer (after $1K spend) when we called 3 months prior to AF post date. We met the spend and cancelled anyway. I would call now and express that you are thinking about cancelling, then again in October after AF posts (within a day or two). Try and get 2 offers.

United, AA, Singapore (on UA), Flying Blue and Korean (on Delta) are all 12.5K each way, 25K RT.

How would I be able to find this information out?

The 1.5x is actually really clutch. Already booked a hotel with it.

Talking about overcrowded lounges, concourse B Skylounge in ATL is getting loud at 630am.
I want to strangle the a-hole loudly ordering alcohol.

I have yet to have a good experience in the ATL airport.

I'm making a few more United flights this year. Assuming I've already hit the $4k threshold for the 100k points bonus, I should book the first flight on the CSR because I get $300 of it back via the travel rebate, right? Then I go back to using the CSR for everything except United flights, which I will use my United Mileageplus Explorer card for?

It is a very reliable airport that is easy to navigate through, typically has adequate parking nearby, has a ton of bar/restaurant options throughout.... it is one of the better ones. The only negative would be the long security lines but that is pretty typical of big airports.

Why? CSR will earn 3x on these expenses which can be transferred to UA 1:1. Or you can transfer them to whichever program. With UA card you'll only earn 2x UA miles. The only thing you should be using the UA card is to call the number on the back of the card to cancel it.

Confirmed. I did $600 this year. Plat x 2, PRG x 2. $100 each transaction.
Reading more about this, a FT thread has said that AMEX codes it as travel, where Chase codes it based on the merchant. Thoughts?

I did a test purchase through MPX yesterday for $40 Amazon GC (already spent). Will see how it's coded for future DP.

With the United card you get a 10,000 mile bonus at 25,000$ spent on everything
So if you spend at least 25,000 you are getting 1.4 miles on every dollar

You only need to spend $3,333 on travel and dining with CSR to beat this offer. Little more if you are using UA card to buy UA flights. Remember, CSR is 3x for all travel. UA is only 2x for only UA travel. And with CSR you are earning flexible points.

I suck at finding the bargain awards flights. They always seem to require more points that the minimum, even when I search by flexible month charts.
