Have you tried seatguru.com?

Yeah flying ATN. Is there any lounge I will have access to in LAX for flying business?
Posted on 1/31/16 at 8:39 pm to AmeriKop45
I haven't. I'll check it out.

Yep you get lounge access. Are you flying the red eye? The lounge was packed when we flew TN out for the red eye but we stopped in for an hour or so and had a couple free drinks.

I'm not. I'm leaving at 4 pm

Does anyone have first hand experience with transferring Citi/MR points to KLM/FB? I've heard stories about them just taking away your miles sometimes. I want to transfer over some points to redeem an award. I've only used my account for numerous award searches. Is it safe to transfer MR to FB at this time?

I read they updated LAX to allow connecting passengers the ability to go to the international terminal without having to leave the airport which was a joke.
Ya, I think American's terminal has a tunnel connection to the international terminal.
However, when I went through there on the way to Bangkok it was such a shitshow transferring from my United terminal to international since it was Dec. 23rd.

It's so terrible
The TB international terminal might be the nicest in the US though, so at least it has that going for it.

Agree. Hate transiting LAX from an international flight. That outdoor exhaust-filled walk after a long flight is miserable.
Hey guys, quick question on the Citi "2 in 65 days" rule. If you apply for two cards, say a month apart, do you have to wait 65 days from the second card's application or the first card's application? I waded through the thread on FT, but couldn't find a clear answer so thought I'd check with you gurus. Thanks!

You have to wait 65 days after the second application. This is why you should apply for one and then apply for the second 8 days later. Then in 65 days you can repeat the process.

Roger that. Thanks for the quick response. I had gotten a few invites for the AA Plat which allowed me to get around the 65-day rule but those have now been used up so I'm back to the regular-way churn.

But Citi cards can't be churned anymore, right?
I think all cards have the 18 month language now as far as I know. I guess between Citi Exec, Plat Personal+Plat Biz and Gold, not too hard to hit that 18 month rule.
Need to get some AA miles asap. Just burned some on a couple J seats on the 77W

Correct. There is no current Citi card I know that can be churned.

There is a purported loophole with the AA Plat if Citi upgrades your account from a World Mastercard to a World Elite Mastercard. If/when that happens, Citi doesn't treat a new application for the card as subject to the 18 month rule. I've opened probably 5 or 6 of these in the last year using invitation codes and they've all been upgraded to World Elite within a couple months of opening. I will pass the 65 days mid-February and will let you guys know if it works without an invite code.

Ahh true. Since it didn't happen to me, I just don't consider that a method to churn (at least for me). But you are right about that.

Anyone know how long it takes for the SW Premier Business card to be approved?
Filed for Business and Premier on the same day - got the Premier approved in 3 business days, no word on the Business card yet.
Filed Monday of last week.

I like that. Spend usually isn't bad on that card and it's 50k miles a pop generally, right?

Call the automated Chase hotline and check the status...If it states you'll be notified in two weeks then you'll typically be approved. I would give it a solid four weeks from your app date. (Don't call and speak with a representative)

When I call it says that I have been approved - just not sure which card its talking about.
They need to hurry the hell up so I can get my companion pass

I actually always call for biz cards. They generally want to ask more questions. I've never been denied for a biz card. I don't know if it's the best method, but it has worked for me.
