They need to hurry the hell up so I can get my companion pass
When you called the auto line did you enter your social to check status? If so, it doesn't say one application was approved and the other is pending review?

I like that. Spend usually isn't bad on that card and it's 50k miles a pop generally, right?
Yup. 50k miles for $3k spend in 3 months with annual fee waived the first year. Ain't bad at all.

In case this helps anyone, here's how to check if you were upgraded to World Elite:
Log into your Citi card's online account.
Select "Profile & Settings"
Select "Set Default Credit Card and Nickname"
If the card is listed as "Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World MasterCard®" it is World.
If the card is listed as "Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select®" it is World Elite.
Apparently the same holds true for Gold cards, but I haven't applied for any of those.

It just says "You have been approved"
I'm starting to wonder if my business application actually went through.

Yeah, it is listed as
Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select®
Account ending in 7480. Does this mean I'm good to go again with this card offer? Currently offering 50K?
Azzazello:
You have been approved. Congrats. In the next 1-2 days you'll get the e-mail saying you've been approved and the card will follow in a day or two.

Hmmmm, it typically would state "you have multiple applications in the last 30 days" if you have matching SS numbers. Then it would proceed to say you'll be notified x amount of days.
I would probably check my email on the date of app for confirmation email and then give them a call...sounds like your app might not have went through.

Still waiting on my Citi checking points.
I'm going to start pushing again this month. I hit the qualifications by Dec. 1st.

What CC did you use for initial fund? I'm going to sign up for the new offer for 40k typ. Wish I could do the fund with one of my hotel cards and get status for the next year but I think I may try my thank you preferred.

I used Citi Prestige. Posted as a purchase.
I'm sure you know but - 1) Reduce cash advance line to $0 prior to doing the funding 2) Call your credit card company in advance to tell them you'll be making a purchase at Citibank and they will process it as a POS.
Dont forget you can do either 40K TYP or 50K AA.
Most Citi cards are fine, Most all BoFA cards are fine. Chase, Amex, Discover cards aren't.

Yup...and yes, I want the cashback at the moment because I have miles with United and SW.

When did the new citi churn language come into play? (The 18 month rule) I've had my hilton reserve for over a year...is there a way to know if that language was put on my account?
I may apply for another hilton bonus this year if possible through citi.

It depends on whether or not it is present on the card you apply for. The only thing that matters on your old card is when you opened (or closed the account). I think this happened about 10-12 months ago.
I know you meant CB for the TYP. Do you have no other (/better) use for them though?

Not really haha The preferred card and citi hilton is all I have with Citi. I just called citi to see about a retention offer on the hilton and they offered to reduce my interest rate

It does give you a free weekend night every year at any hilton. That's not bad. Plus your 18 month clock will reset at the time when you close your card if you choose to do so. If you want to go for another Citi Hilton card, just apply (after its been 18 months since you got your bonus) and cancel your old card after you receive the new one.
Why not look into 50K prem (can still be gotten) or Prestige that will give you access to travel partners?
