All true, but if you are still working, you can also change your with holdings at work and pay the taxes that way, then convert a little from Trad to Roth with each check. Lessens the PITA factor. Make sure no fees apply.

Could talk to the person you’ll inherit IRA from about converting now. Of course, there are lots of variables to this.

All else equal, the with same rate of compounding and tax rate it doesnt.matter if you pay the tax now or later.
On the other hand, Roth essentially allows you to put a larger net contribution into tax advantaged retirement accounts annually since limits are same but taxes are already paid.
