Annual fee is rumored to be increasing to either $7-800 too.
1x on other travel

1x on other travel

Crazy. Going to be the death nail for that card except for very seasoned travelers

frick that if it doesn't come with a a couple hundred dollar increase on the travel credit.
ETA: Or if they'd let me transfer my Ink Business Premier points to Sapphire.
But aren't they also coming out with a Sapphire Business Card?
IDK. I just hoover up the frick out of some points through our business so I'll find every reason possible not to switch to AMEX or Cap One, but damn... Seems like I at least need to start looking around.

And the Capital One Venture X premium level card also just got nuked with the new "no guests" policy for airport lounges including Priority Pass lounges

As long as a spouse can still come in I have no problem with this change. Allowing a bunch of AU and kids in tow to use the lounge was a mistake IMO.

I was an extremely early adopter of the Reserve, and if they go anywhere near that annual fee without offsetting it with an increase in travel credit, I'm out. Speaking of offsets, I'm getting really tired of the touting of very small ($5-10/mo) benefits to varying subscription services that don't rollover as a justification for increased annual fees.

What is an edit credit?
I have no fricking idea, and now I have something new to add to my “X, Windows App, etc” list of product names that are impossible to usefully search on the internet

When you book hotels through the Ultimate Rewards portal, there’s certain hotels that are higher end and are like Chase “picks” I guess. They’re called “The Edit” hotels. You get like $100 credit on that property during your stay. So like in Atlanta, they have a Nobu hotel, and I guess you get $100 credit to the Nobu restaurant in the hotel.
I think that’s how “The Edit” works.
I book hotels through the portal all the time, but have never stayed in a The Edit hotel.
Awful naming.

Similar to AMEX FHR?

I think I'm leaving CSR if this happens. The only thing I am pondering is I do spend $75K so the $500 Southwest credit might make it worth it.

Keeping it, I see more than enough credits for me that cover annual fee

My initial reaction was I'm out. But then I saw the Sapphire Reserve Tables $300 credit ($150 every 6 months) and that alone would cover it.

How does this work?

I’m going to want to see something official, because while I don’t doubt the information, the comparisons are off. For example, it lists the $25 doordash credit as “new”, but you already get $5/mo and two $10/mo credit from stores. So what’s being called new might just be a conversion of a different benefit. Just as one example that I’m familiar with, but it gives me pause over the rest of the list.

JFC, like "The Edition?" They couldn't take that because Marriott has it, and their creative idea was that?
DoorDash isn't bad, but being locked into a Stubhub for the credit is something that will cost you potentially hundreds to get the "discount." Same goes for Lyft (I've paid probably 30% too much on average vs. Uber because of the free Lyft Pink over the past year.) Sapphire Reserve Tables? Woooo.
AppleTV (do you only get the full credit if you pay by the year in December, after you've "earned" it?), the existing travel credit, and DoorDash *may* warrant keeping it, but woof. Noticeable that they didn't even bother to mention Priority Pass, which hasn't been usable for me out of IAH since 2022.

Dumb Question:
I have the Sapphire Reserve and a few hundred thousand points. If I cancel the card, do I lose access to the Chase Rewards Portal?
