Business kicked me in the nuts today…

1. 7am: Noticed my advertising got poached by a competitor
2. 3pm: Lost a $10,000/mo contract
3. 5:30pm: Great tenant leaving rental property immediately due to family issues.
I guess this is the kind of stuff that makes for a cool story down the road but man this sucked.

That’s pretty tough, especially when you said a few weeks ago that you were barely getting by financially. Good luck.

Lot of promises to poach a 10k contract. Let's see if the new company delivers on expectations. Be cool about it and follow up as contract ends or whatever it is.

I'm guessing that a competitor offered a larger contract to whomever handled his advertising, and the advertisers had to drop him because they can't work for two competing companies. At least that's how it worked in Mad Men (i.e. "We have a chance to land a big contract with Chevy, but we need to drop our current client Jaguar in order to pursue it").

Hopefully you can find another great tenant in the rental. In many areas rentals are still in strong demand.

Fair, but you could have simply offered your condolences to this poor guy and left off the more importantly I’m worried about me too comment. Just my thought when I read your post.
