We did an online brokerage and had people contact us. Got a $500k 30 year policy for the wife some years ago for like $400/yr.

Term4sale.com. Used a local broker but rates were consistent.

Do you have a financial advisor or planner? He/she could probably put together quotes for you as well.

What’s the requirements for a physical on these things? Do they make you get one before you get it? Submit most recent blood work up or what?

They sent a nurse to our house to check blood pressure and a few other things. It’s been a few years, so I can’t recall the specifics. You may be able to have your doctor submit everything.

Lemonade.com

I thought they were a small online company (with a quirky name and marketing campaign) that offered pet insurance and renters insurance to college kids. But they offer very inexpensive term life policies up to $1.5mil through North American Life [AM Best A+ rating]. No medical exam required for certain levels of limits and the online app literally took 5 min. Premium is auto-debited from Amex monthly (miles earned). It was about half of my previous Zurich policy premium after the term period expired. The sign-up was entirely hassle free as has maintains the policy.

Ethos is another online product with cheaper rates and no medical exam required.

what? Banner/LGA is one of the oldest and highest rated term life insurance companies in existence. What are you basing your opinion on? I’d really like to know.

Got quoted $1m -30 year coverage for $534 a month.. I'm 53.. I don't plan to live to 83, seems like a good deal.

That’s a really good deal. $44.50/month for a million dollar 30 year policy on a 53 year old? Did your agent ask you any health or underwriting questions at all or did they just quote best rates possible?
