Banner is usually going to be the lowest and is a strong company. Some of their term plans are not convertible, but yeah, I am also wondering what the OP is basing his opinion on.

This is solid advice too. Term insurance is mostly a commodity. My experience has been that the quotes are pretty competitive regardless of the “middle men” involved. I can guarantee your advisor isn’t making a living off of term policies. At the very least you can get a good idea of how much you actually need.
