Best bank for business account?
Business checking and potential business credit card.

For my other business, I've used Capital One. What's the best out there?

I know a lot of people dump on Wells Fargo, but they have treated me right, over the years, not counting the PPP mess.

I've found smaller, regional banks are usually better, especially if your business is also small. In my experience, small banks provide better customer service.

Local regional bank. All the tools of the big players but with the personal attention. Your account means more to them. What city are you in?

re: Best bank for business account?
Capital one has the best mobile business banking IMO. Very large check deposit and transfer limits. The local banks are a joke on that front. That said, capital one and chase totally fricked the smaller guys with ppp. Turned out to be a non issue, but was highly aggravating at the time.

My suggestion would be to have a local and national bank and chose one to operate out of and another to keep active for an alternative relationship.

A local community bank. Where your lender and CSR know you by name and value your business.

Although it depends on the type and size of the business, I tend to agree with you. At larger banks, the people I get to know and trust tend to be good, and because of that, they inevitably move on and up. When I’ve had that happen at smaller banks, they’re usually quick to set me up with someone who isn’t just the next hump in line.

Hancock Whitney

Again they are big enough to have all the cash management, deposit and lending tools you will need; but still small enough to where they prioritize relationships.

This. Plus technology has caught up. Local community banks have every bit of capable technology these days. Smart phone app, Venmo, etc.

I used Cap 1 prior to the PPP stuff and have since switched to Neighbors. I’ve got a good relationship with my commercial banker at Neighbors, whereas I felt like I just had a teller at Cap 1.

re: Best bank for business account?
There is an old adage that goes like this and you probably saw this with the PPP fiasco:

You owe the bank a few thousand...the bank owns you.

You owe the bank millions or billions of dollars you own the bank.

When you owe the bank a few thousand they can easily write some of it off or go after you personally for it, but once you start borrowing millions in capital, the bank is in business to keep you in business. So you can expect a more personal relationship with the more you owe. But smaller banks do help better when it comes to small businesses as they can develop a working relationship with you.

One issue that I noticed with smaller banks is that they appear to use the same back end IT systems. For example all their websites and mobile apps have the same features and layout and they just put their logo on it as it is a white label app from the same developer.

On the flip side CapitalOne and Chase have custom apps unique to them and they cram a whole lot more features in them.

Also some smaller banks will farm out their credit cards to larger bank to service. The credit card is issued with the bank’s name on it, but it is serviced and managed by larger retail bank.

I personally do not trust the bank at all. I think it's all one big pyramid. I had a sad experience with a burst bank, I will tell you that emotions were not the most pleasant. Why do they forget about Bitcoin? People wake up! We are already living in the 21st century, cryptovalyut already many different, just create a bitcoin wallet and transfer some assets there ! Reliable 100% and always online under control. I'm not agitating, just reminding you what you might not have thought of.
