Absolutely not.
Monday will be WILD if no official announcement.

Is this reasonable?

Conservatively 30 billion to be made over 15 years.
Buyout for 10?

Thinking of snagging 50-75 shares and see where it goes.

If this trades again Monday without a buyout announcement, I’m definitely buying more. Free money.

Motley Fool is now kicking around the idea of 177% premium from Friday’s close of $28 and their low end guess is $46 LINK

So I’ve never owned a stock that has been bought. If there are no transfers, do I have to do anything?
Sorry for the dumb question. But I bought this years ago when you first suggested it and just left it. I don’t want all of that to go to waste!
How will I know what to do?

Well the merger isn't immediate. Between the official announcemt and the actual close, the stock will trade around what the buyout price is times the uncertainty of the merger gong through. The more confident investors are in the merger closing, the closer it'll trade to buyout price. So in this window, you can just sell your shares.
Or you can wait until actually close and you won't have to do anything. Your broker will take care of it

If straight buyout, it will just show up as cash in your account

I am hoping for a buyout somewhere between $9-10B. I feel like a genius when I bought each of my kids an extra 100 shares a couple of weeks ago.

Great fricking job to the OP and those who bought, great conviction and willingness to stick it through.

Bought 35 in Roth at 22.40
If it happened to dip below $20 for some reason I’d have to consider throwing 1/3 of our emergency fund at it.

Exited my position, with nice profits earlier this year. Bought back in today, 2K shares at 12.12... back in the saddle, tell me I'm not crazy....

Any chance it'll dip on Monday or do I need to get in @ $28ish while I still can?

Be ready. It could certainly dip.

People are calling for a short squeeze, but in all actuality, if no deal by the morning, this will be an ever bigger short target at $30 than it was at $20.

Shorts are willing to take the risk. I guarantee you they are.

But also, is everyone and their mom wanting to get into this name after the news on Friday, thus causing shorts to start covering?...19 million shares are short. Wow.

Who the hell knows? It's all part of the fun.

I just placed some limit sell in 3 of my accounts in case of a short squeeze.

All well over $50.
The likelyhood of these getting triggered is almost zero, but what the hell.

I'll buy back with 100% of proceeds if the shares get sold and then come back to earth.

The short list remains:
3 = high conviction probably represents a five figure investment for me.
1 means somewhere around 1-2k

Pharma
AKBA-2
ALBO-2
BCRX-3
CARA-1
PIRS-1

Honorable mention:
ATOS

Other
SLI-3
RDW-2
ORGN-1

edit: Might have to throw a few dollars at SAVA if they continue to shite the bed. I see they're below $50 again.
