Are we freaking out again about short term swings?
How many times are you guys going to run around with your hair on fire?
Since 2018 we have had multiple short term downturns in the markets.
If you aren’t planning on selling soon, why do you even care?

I posted a warning 5 days before the drop. Didn't expect any one to believe me and rightly so. I got the down votes to prove it.

Markets are mostly algos...algos use math. next major correction is here imo.
Correction to previous spy level I posted:
My charts are telling me that markets hit a major technical level this week (301 spy area)and smart money has begun reducing there stock positions. There should be a healthy pullback from or near current highs as of last 2 days. Fed rate cut could get a push to 304-305 area max. Take it with a grain of salt because...hey...what do i know?

I know it was sarcastic, I was just reiterating the facts of the matter

Uh, you posted this a month ago, not 5 days ago
And this had nothing to do with the algos, it had to do with the Chinese pushback on the sanctions
ETA: you were also wrong on where the market would top out, sooooooo
ETA2: saw you posted spy and not spx. Guess you were right about it all

Sure..except you just got lucky with the timing. Did you predict China devaluing their currency or the additional tariffs added to Chinese goods?
Just because the market went down a month after you made your post, doesn't mean you can predict anything.

My original post (a month before was the 304-305 area) but certain indicators I use gave me the signal to edit the post 5 days before the drop. I'm a trader...it's what I do.

My luck involves a lot of work but ok...i will take it because it was my only posted prediction ever on here and I clearly pull the target out of thin air.

Nope but didn't need to. That's just more fuel to a fire that was already lite. Why did the s&p drop 200+ in May? Why didn't the original tariffs make it drop? This isn't the 1930s...times are different now. Machines rule the trading world now. Learn how algos work or just put it in and wait because it goes up most the time.

Love reading posts -- here and elsewhere -- where someone shows a chart and says "my charting genius predicts the market will go down soon"
then an earthquake collapses Asia into the ocean, and they re-post the chart and say "told you -- charts never lie!"

What kind of trader is on a message board at 10:15 am on the most volatile trading day in months?

Sounds like you should be making a ton of money since you have it figured out.

high was 302.23 spy.....i said at or near the 301 area as key target with a chance of pop on rate cut. Close enough
Posted on 8/5/19 at 10:39 am to Thib-a-doe Tiger
My charts are up. Want me to stare at them more? All I did was share my only prediction on here....bad for me I was close....would have gotten at least one up vote if I was on here eating crow.

What I am getting at is are you a professional trader, or are you an investor like the rest of this board? One is not like the other
And if professional, what kind? Commodities, FI, equities, futures?

So am I buying today or waiting for more carnage to occur?

He did an edit on 7/25 for a post he made on 7/5. Since he edited, I’m assuming his 7/5 post was incorrect
Posted on 8/5/19 at 11:07 am to Thib-a-doe Tiger
That explains it. Thanks.

I am a trader but long ways from calling myself a pro. I am wrong often but do catch a trade every once in a while. Been on this board 15 years and never posted a target...that was my first one and I was confident enough to share it. At the end of the day...we are responsible for our own money decisions and making market/stock predictions is one of the many things this forum is for....right?
