I don't think anyone in their right mind would have taken the keys to AAPL over the keys to XOM, but somehow, the stock continued to drive higher and higher.
I don't know if this is the beginning of the crash, but it's a reality check after an irrational rise.

Plain and simple aapl buy back stock will not be at $600 a share, $250-350 tops, no company would pay $6-700 to buy back it's own stock

I see it being a $600 stock much more than a 300. And the drop in price is more than likely a result of the entire market going down the past two weeks.
If it were to drop to 300, the forward P/E of Apple would be something around 6. You think that's a "fair" price? Especially for a company that still acts like a "growth" company?

For anyone that confident that it will go down that much, they should short it. Easy money!
Disclaimer: I own apple and don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

sounds like a bunch of butt hurt people that had to wait a very long time for the slightest of apple drops to start their whining.

I dare anyone to short Apple for any period of time. Let's just say the odds are in not in your favor. 16 times earnings with an estimated 15-35% consensus long term growth rate? Cheap stock on a PEG basis
Let's look at the past 1.5 year chart:
It's had 3 consolidations: approximations here
403->353= 12% drop
413->369=11% drop
422->363= 14% drop
Current: 644-> 585= roughly 10%
From a technical stand point it's correcting as it should to form a new base higher. It's 50 day moving average will be a key level of support at 553. I don't see it dropping much further from a technical perspective but if it does test it's 50 day and bounce up I'd be a buyer. If it falls below 553 I'd be a bit worried (not really cause the fundamental picture is so strong)
It's had some more minor corrections of 4-5% averaging. I'd argue this is an average correction. But im by no means a technician! I'm long.

Real talk.
This "stock price" valuation is giving me flashbacks of SMIF.

Here are the main conspiracy theories I've seen thrown around:
*The big boys driving it down pre-earnings to make a killing next week.
*People cashing out their crazy profits to pay their taxes with house money.
*Apple manipulating as part of the buy back.
Conspiracy theories aside, it is definitely a weird sell off. Lots of money to be made by those that get lucky and hit the bottom just right. If it holds solid pre-market and at the open tomorrow, the money is going to flow back in.
I'll leave it to others to figure out how this happen without a tangible catalyst.
