loved the concept and didnt have much money since I was a student, but I researched how to get it and store it and shite and said "eh, frick this - too much work."

that should have been our tip off to get it! Nothing good comes easy. Oh well, doubt I would've held until now. I'd have done some stupid shite and probably be divorced, no medical license and a cocaine habit. Probably for the best.

I'm so glad I didnt get in cheap. I would feel like shite If I had used 2 coins for drinks at the bar or bought a pizza. I read about a guy who paid his rent with like 80 coins. Could you imagine that horror?

I remember our conversations when you were in school. It's amazing how time just keeps on disappearing.

I mean, the first bitcoin transaction was 10,000 BTC for 2 large Papa John's pizzas

I wanted to buy $1k worth of BTC back around 2015 because of Wiki and gave up as it was too much a PITA. It was about $200. I finally talked myself into buying a year later and paid about $3k per coin.

Who knows? But I hate to think about it. shite was cheap when he first started talking about it. If I threw $10k at it, I look at those things as lost money. But I'd at most have 25% of my original purchase now. Probably zero. But what if?!!!! The upside for me would've been that most everyone in Arkansas and the surrounding states were clueless about it. I may have not been able to spend it and just said, "Screw it, let it ride." We'll never know.

Be interesting to revisit this 12 years from now and see how everyone has done or didn't do.

I remember lurking TD years ago when there was a discussion on btc going down. I believe btc was sitting around 500 bucks per at that time and I was like “nope....too rich for my blood on this”. LOL

90% of the Bitcoin I own was purchased between $3,000 - $7,000 a coin and I have never once thought of selling.

Those that understand what Bitcoin can go will probably never sell.

I plan on keeping mine until death and passing them down.

Executive Order 6102 (1933)

I think Bitcoin/crypto has the potential to be the currency of the future. Do not ignore the risk the government poses to its value though. They made Gold illegal to own, they can also make bitcoin illegal, especially if all this spending causes inflation and the dollar really loses its luster. The US government is currently as close as it's been to FDR's awful monetary policy since the 30s.

Do you think the globalist print and spend hacks controlling monetary policy here and around the world will ever allow the dollar/fiat to go down without a massive fight? Bitcoin is a massive threat to a government who wants to print money at will. Read Janet Yellen's comments about crypto.

I think Bitcoin and other cryptos are legit and the proof is there, but do not take the current gains for granted. The larger it gets, the more the Fed will want to control it. All it takes is one executive order in response to "inflation" or some other manufactured crisis, and the "diamond hands" will turn to paper with quickness.

I think the risk is tiny. There was only one person prosecuted via EO 6102 and he was acquitted.

I do not entirely disagree with what you are saying and do think it would have a massive impact on valuations in the short term.

However, I do think it would recover as Bitcoin is significantly larger than just one country.

"A person who identifies the Chainlink Token (Link) as a potential game changer when the price is under $0.25 and refuses to sell even after the price hits an all time high of over $46"

Clear enough?
