Are the markets fearing a little uncertainty with certain battleground states holding up their vote count? Or just a temporary pullback? It's starting to feel like a possible bear run could be around the corner.

I know I have to be careful mixing politics on this Board, but Michigan's secretary of state saying votes could take at least several days was not exactly comforting news.

Add Georgia and Arizona to those saying the same as well

I don’t think it has anything to do with election uncertainty as gold and treasuries are both down as well.

I wish we could ban everyone that brings political news to the MB like it drives the market. Money. Doesn’t. Care.

The Dow is down 300 on the 2 weeks and up 500 on the month. Markets go up. Markets go down. Stop thinking that any insignificant trivial news that comes out about politics is steering the market!

What a stupid Karen thing to say. If you don't think macro factors come into play then you are a goddamn fool. Good luck with your bans pussy.

I could be wrong, but I can't imagine that is what has triggered this pullback.

I remember the crazy predictions of a market collapse in the lead up to the 2016 election. Not only didn't it happen (a melt UP happened, if anything), but equity vol was at historic lows for months and months after that.

While this specific topic of the thread may not have any relation to the politics, your statement is terribly wrong.

What are you referring to? Something related in the markets? My recollection is it took a month to adjudicate the thing and markets mostly shrugged.

Do you really think your quote above is a macro economic factor that would impact the market? Really? That’s not a macro issue, that’s political cesspool fodder that investors don’t give a crap about. If you think the above is the reason for a daily swing, you are the fool. Politely GFY.
