Thought coach made some bone head calls. Why go for it on first drive n 50 yard line. Cost you 7 points. On last drive with 1 yard to get not having Joe Mixon in game. How about trying to roll out Joe on some passing plays?

Not having some type of bunch formation pick play on 4th was kinda crazy. Bottom line though, cincy O line completely imploded in the second half.

I hate Collinsworth but he was spot on that the Cincy OL had the Rams figured out in the first half but the Rams figured that out and adjusted.

4th and 1 from midfield was the right call. Just didn’t work out.

It was gutsy. I don't necessarily buy it was the right call that early in the game when you have a pretty good defense. I won't go as far to say it was the wrong call. And it wasn't stupid.

Wasn't a great read by Joe either.

Early in the game it's fine. Advanced stats pretty much all say you go for that, especially early in the game.

Was actually not great play design. The linebacker who broke it up only got in that area following the RB who went out on a flat route. Otherwise the WR was open there, the LB who broke it up wasnt even covering the WR, he just happened to be there chasing the RB.

The defense held the Rams to 23 points. Apple was who he's always been but the defensive unit played their nuts off.

I've watched all the televised Bengals games this year and I can tell you the one thing Zack hasn't figured out completely yet is that HE HAS TO PUT THE BALL IN JOE'S HAND AT THE END OF THE GAME.

Too many games this year he runs the ball in the last drive and plays for a long field goal. That mindset has cost him a couple games this year.

Maybe his OL is behind his thought process, but he needs to fix that issue along with his play calling.

I didnt think he called a bad game till the last drive. If Mixon isnt hurt he should be in the game. I would have run Mixon on 2nd and 1 instead of running it on 3rd and 1. The 4th down play never had a chance because the pressure was on JB instantly. It sounds silly but even changing up the snap count some may have helped. The Rams Dline was getting off the ball super fast.

I agree. That pissed me off. Your first responsibility is making sure you at least get the first down.

I hated his play calling on that drive.

The play calling would have seemed a lot better if his OL could block their way out of a wet paper bag.

No that was a bad decision because even if you get the first you’re still not guaranteed points right there. You also run the risk of giving them a short field, which is what happened, instead of pinning them back when your defense just forced a 3 and out with a sack. The touchdown also played into field position because you had a kickoff rather than a possible punt from deep in their own territory which led to a 3 and out and their second score. That decision was absolutely terrible.

After about the fourth drive they began with a run up the middle I was looking for Les in the pressbox!
Nobody has moved Robinson or Donald off the ball all year.
Cincys O-line is the worse I have seen in the NFL.

Taylor's a numbskull. Punt on 4th and 1 and play field position possibly flipping the field. Instead you put your defense in a bad position. And he got away from the running game in the second half while Burrow was getting mauled every drop back.
