I honestly believe this group is being undervalued. Welch and Toviano possess that LSU, cocky, in your face, DB attitude. I believe in Denver Harris. Major Burns. Greg Brooks. Let that set in, and tell me your honest opinion, on the talent we have (on the back-end).

Way to thin. Especially with no LB’s in front of them.

I have to same thought about all 3 levels of the defense. Front line guys are legit and we have some dudes. Like potential all Americans and all levels but we're paper thin. We need depth.

That currently you’re needing everything to go right not to have to thrust true freshmen into the mix. Major question marks across the board.

But I’m sure they’ll add another player to the mix through the portal

Question marks:
Harris — staying disciplined
Alexander — jump to FBS from FCS ( we saw Richardson and Evans were mediocre)
Banks — remaining healthy
Welch — two ACL tears and inexperienced

Safety, however, you have two solid SEC starters in Burns and Brooks.

Would really like to see Sage and Brooks kind of flip. Let Sage play more safety and get Brooks up around the LOS more

We don’t know who all of the players are at this point so I can’t offer up an opinion.

Not on the Dline. We are lousy with top line talent and very good depth.

If we keep Tolan, we are outstanding at LB, with Tolan and Perkins representing the some of the best starters we’ve ever had, and Penn and Weeks being solid depth.

Our secondary depth looks good to me. We probably need a portal pickup or two there. And if Tolan leaves we need some help at LB.

Wait … what?

You think LSU doesn’t have top line talent on the DLine?

Neither were an FCS 2x All American either

They will probably add the cb from Ohio st also.

I think they’ll be fine

Did Welch play in bowl game? I don't remember seeing him. I'm hoping to see him get some playing time this year in s secondary.

“We are lousy with Dlinemen” is an expression meaning we have a lot of them. “Lousy” literally means covered with lice.

Depends on how good Alexander actually is. LSU thinks he can be a high end SEC CB. Also depends on if we get anyone else which it looks like we probably will from portal. Right now they should be good but it can get even better.

Sage is not big enough to play S. He wouldn't be a good fit there. He really has no position.

People thought Pig Cage would be a thing too. That’s a tough jump

I’d like them to add a solid Nickel(just don’t trust Sage there and Brooks looked slow there early in the season) and another corner for sure.

Tolan is leaving.
