Wore the same yellow Nike coaches polo that I bought the week before the season started, as well as the purple Nike hat that I bought at the bookstore before the GSU game.

Both are officially retired

I had a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich for lunch on the Friday before the Bama, UGA and OU games.

It was more of a convenience thing for work than superstition, but I made sure to have another chicken sandwich on Friday before I flew to New Orleans for the NCG.

When Coach O said he and his wife had Popeyes in the hotel room after the game, I felt I must've done my part.

I bought a Pat Pete shirt before the season and wore it every game. I think I’m gonna have to retire it

I'm usually too superstitious to change my routine if we are winning. But this year, I had become friends with an English guy whose wife is an LSU alum and he invited me over for the Bama game. I was leary since we had been winning but I broke protocol and we still won. I watched the SEC Champs at his FIL's, The OU slaughter at a bar in Austin and the Natty at his FIL's. I did wear the same LSU hat and my LSU Chuck Taylors for every game so I guess they have some magic.

In June, my wife got me a whiskey glass with a map of LSU imprinted on it. I’ve used that glass every Saturday, and we’ve yet to lose. So, do the math

Literally did the exact same thing. Didn’t shave the entire season and I’m convinced it brought us a Natty!

Wore the same hat for every single game this season. Even the Saturdays I had to work and watch the game on my tiny TV in the shop, I wore this hat.

I have asked to be buried with this hat if I should expire before LSU wins another national championship.

This is mine every season. If we stay undefeated all year I grow it out all year.

By accident, I did not wear an LSU shirt for the first game, and I stood the whole game. Continued each game with the previous game in mind, and here we are, Champions! Proudly wearing LSU as we speak.

Put my white CLM era LSU ball cap in the closet. Started wearing my purple LSU ball cap every day. But didn’t usually wear it during actual game time. 15-0, bay-bee!

I drank beer for every game this year.

Of course I’ve done this many years in the past and it didn’t always work, I’m convinced my drinking of beers for the game paid off this year.

OK. So I wore the same t-shirt and drawers to sleep the night before each game. I drank my coffee out of my game day mug. Then washed it and stored it back in the cabinet later that day. It stayed there until the next game day so it could recharge with magic. I wore a game day t-shirt, but then changed into my Nike Dri Fit pullover no later than 15 minutes before kickoff.

In the Bama game, I did all the above, but I must add that when they started off that first drive moving the ball quickly into the red zone, I was getting nervous and started pacing around the living room. I knelt down on 1 knee just before the play where Tua fumbled inside the 10. I watched the entire rest of the game in that spot and on 1 knee. I got up and moved around between plays, but always went back to the knee before the snap of the next play.

This season was a lot of work, but it was worth it.

You're welcome Tiger Nation.

Well I crapped my lucky lsu undies after the vandy game in Nashville so I had to go with my lucky jersey for the peach bowl and the natty.
