frick off. I've donated more money to LSU than you ever will, and unlike you I donate to the institution too, not just the TAF and concession stand.
We won't miss your money, bud. Tuscaloosa is five hours that way.

will anyone admit they underestimated things ? I doubt it, many are not open minded, they are just haters.
amen. I have to be open minded that some posters on here are either fans of other teams or just don't know shite (plus being close minded).
coach O had a bad resume', I get it. but he learned from his mistakes (something Les Miles never did) and is doing a good job. no matter what anyone says, LSU is a WELL COACHED TEAM. all of this shite about O sitting on the side and letting others do his job is horse pucky.
no doubt it will be harder to maintain and IMPROVE the team but I feel good about what I've seen so far. he seems to be recruiting areas of need and improving the play in the trenches. the kids love him and they play motivated. no coach is perfect but I think coach O at least gives LSU a chance to improve and compete for titles. I can't overestimate the fact that miles had left the program with some big holes even tho he had a lot of high talented players on the team.
if we can keep this staff together (even Canada) for a couple of more years we are going to be elite again.

I thought we would have a regular season of between 10-2 or 11-1. L’s coming to Bama and maybe AUb. I certainly never anticipated the Miss. St. blowout win or the Troy embarrassment.
Does the staff and team deserve credit for getting their act together after those 2 shocking displays and finishing with a good record? Yes, of course. Does them rebounding to finish 3nd in the west make this season much different than most since 2012. No, IMO
The only real difference in the records is in the SOS we played. In 2015 , the schedule was ranked at 5. This season, it’s ranked in the 30s.
I have felt with the last staff and this one as well, we need to win the west or at least be ranked in the top 6. I didn’t buy into the injury, youth, or lack of quarterback play excuse with Miles and I’m not gonna buy into it with Coach O either.

It's obvious from the upvotes and lack of downvotes on those posts that a lot of people agreed with the sentiments.
This thread is more about comparing reactions now when we have 12 games of evidence to then when we had 5 games of evidence. Hindsight is 20/20 for this thread.
Through 5 games, we had subpar performances in at least 3 of them and 2 of those were embarrassing losses. Anyone claiming 9-3 after that would've been delusional.

If you don't care about beating Florida and Ole Miss, you're not really an LSU fan. Circumstances don't matter for those games.
Yes I am happy we beat those teams.
But in the context of defending Orgeron this year, those games are nearly irrelevant. Ole Miss and Florida were both fricking terrible this year.
It should not be a flag in anyone's hat that we beat them.
Orgeron will never be the answer for LSU. The wins over bad SEC teams with lame duck head coaches are fools gold.

Here's another one who buys a few Tiger Dogs a season and contributes a paycheck to the TAF and thinks they're a "true fan". On the contrary, it's "fans" like you that we don't need. But enjoy your time in the sun. Hope it's worth the damage that you do in the interim.
Your Auburn fan question is still dumb as shite, but hardly surprising considering the source.

Vegas isn’t in the business of making predictions.

9-3 is a good year all things considered and is exactly what I predicted.
However, 9-3 w a loss to troy, a 30 point loss to an above average Ms State, and another year where there are more questions than answers offensively is a disappointment. The same athletic director that built this situation is having sit-down interventions with the coaching staff. That's disappointing. The CEO model coach, who has never, ever called plays, is stepping on his OC's toes and not letting him continue to run the scheme he was brought here to run... that is disappointing.
If Alleva had brought in a Herman or a Jimbo or Mullen or Taggart, 9-3 would be disappointing under the circumstances, but that's probably because I'd be expecting 10-2 or 11-1. There would at least be hope for the future progression of the program. (Now we're "hoping and praying" for JUCO recruits...when has that ever been a thing in the last 15 or so years?)
But he didn't. Instead he opted for "continuity." So we'll keep expecting 9 wins at best(9 wins next year would be great btw) expect to keep changing OCs, expect to "hope and pray" and "see how it works out" in recruiting.
We fired Les to hire his DL coach to have continuity.
Not gonna eat any crow. But I'm proud of the players for hanging in there and putting a good year together after a very adverse start.

Now we really get a glimpse in who you are. You’re the type of person when the argument gets rough you pull out the “GUESS HOW MUCH MONEY I DONATE AND SPEND GUYS, IM SPECIAL I PROMISE”!
Buddy, if that gives you validation, have at it. You still sound like such a puss to so many people. And if you’re old enough to be donating that much money, then you gotta be old enough to understand how stupid and hate filled you sound.
To sum up my feelings about this year (because by God no one knows what yours are since they take so many stances in this thead):
State and Troy loss sucked, bounced back and made a historical comeback against eventual West champs. Played hard, and together for rest of year. Finished 9-3 which no one saw coming when we lost to Troy. For that, I tip my hat to O. I don’t live my life so volatile like you bud, I’m happy to be a Tiger.

there a middle between being in the Playoff and getting blasted by State and losing to Troy?
Yea cuz shite like thiss never ever happens. The Pittsburghs of the world don't beat the Miamis.
Just doesn't compute right?

You’ve proved over and over you don’t know what you’re talking about and you’ve resorted to lies and putting words in my mouth because you’ve been proven wrong about everything. Go play you’re outgunned by a mile here.
So when the schedules are virtually identical you honestly believe going 9-3 with no title is the same as going 10-1 and winning the West?
And you think you're winning this argument because the 2017 team's SOS is 1% tougher?
Posted on 11/27/17 at 11:23 am to Harry Caray
LSU still hasn’t won the west or beaten bama since 0 took over. IF those things ever happen you’ll have an argument. Until then you can eat a crows arse.
Losing to Troy, which is a really good sunbelt team, should not happen. Period.
9-3 with a fifth year qb and a heisman candidate rb is pretty meh.
