holy frick giving the band credit for wins. Rantardism at it's finest
Cuts had to be made and that was an obvious one.
I give him a b+ thus far. I like a lot of the things he has in the works. Not to mention his first hire appears to be a slam dunk.

I'm with BilJ, I also like how he is pushing to clean up TigerStadiums exterior.

Hopefully he goes through with canceling the Tulane series
Just the fact that he's trying to get out of this series gives him an A in my book. Now what he does with that extra slot if and when we get out it will determine his future grades.

"I".....incomplete. Too early to give him a grade, IMO.

No shite getting out of that awful tulane contract would be great. After smoke this one of skip's dumbest moves
Of course we owe skip a lot for letting the band go to road games so we could win.....

It's not really fair to judge him now that athletic profits are all going to the academic side, to offset the budget cuts.
Wait till next year will be when he has an extra $10 million in his pocket to make all the changes he wants.
I can't wait to see how the refurbishment of Tiger Stadium turns out. Anyone have any artist renderings of what's planned?

I probably don't have enough insight to "grade" him.
My likes:
- Seems like he wants to pursue dismissing with the Tulane series.
- Cleaning up TS's exterior.
- Not sure how much credit he gets for hiring Trent. Great hire. If he was instrumental, then a big plus.
My dislikes
- The piped-in music in TS. If this was Alleva's idea (or if he gave his consent) someone needs to take him back behind Mike's cage and cane his backside. The most "counter-atmosphere" thing to happen in TS since day games.
- Needs to rectify the band traveling situation. OM and/or Bama games should be mandatory. BTW, it was Vincent (who works for Alleva) who responded to the band issue. He's an AD. Stop making excuses and find a way. Football is not just another sport at LSU. It is the flagship sport.

Incomplete...what Russian said. Its only been a year and he's riding coattails at the moment.
I really hate the fact that live broadcasts of games on affiliated internet stations were quashed in order to make us buy GZ. I refuse to pay for an inferior product that works sporadically. Fix it, Joe!
I like the fact we had so much success across the board, but I credit the players and coaches first.
I wish the man much success in the future and hope he gets us in the green and keeps us competing at the top level in all sports.

Yeah, dump the Slime. I'm tired of LSU subsidizing their athletic department. That LSU game keeps them in business.
Tiger Stadium needs a total mass renovation inside and out, like Tennessee is currently doing. Check out what UT is doing to Neyland at utsports.com. We need a project like that at LSU.........

B+ for now, but it becomes an A if he can successfully ditch those parasitic Greenies.

A-
Time will tell, I mean he's winning with Saban's, I mean Bertman's Coaches

no complaints so far and nothing to deserve a lower grade. Give him an A.
But like he said last year "A trained monkey could come in right now and ride this LSU ship. I just hope not to mess it up"

I know for a fact that he had everything to do with hiring Coach Johnson. That said, he gets an A.
Posted on 7/21/09 at 8:21 am to Run DMC
He did a good job during Hurricane Gustav, that is a challenging test for any AD.

I'm not sure Mr. Alleva realizes how much The Golden Band from Tigerland means to the people of Louisiana.
I'm from Louisiana and graduated from LSU and couldn't care less about the band. The noise gets in the way of the game for me quite frankly.
