As awesome as 2007 was as I recall it, a truly special night... weren't we slight favorites? It was a special place that night but I can't even remember where I sat.
However, nothing will top the EPIC feeling I had after knocking off #1 in October 1997. And as stated earlier, the city was on a six-day football high that was hard to describe.
To argue that one lead to the BCS NCG and one led to the Independence Bowl... that should have little relation to the original question: Favorite LSU-UF Game? Now if the question was "which game was more meaningful towards a championship?" I'd have a different answer.

07 then 1997.
I'll never forget when they announced the Stanford vs USC score right before the end of the 3rd quarter and the crowd went nuts. It was an amazing atmosphere.

1997-
-Most people thought we had no chance in that game
-Florida was #1
-LSU was still fighting to become relevant
-GameDay was there
-Tore down goalposts
-Landed on cover of Sports Illustrated
-Tommy Banks, Cedrick Donaldson, Herb Tyler, Kevin Faulk
Those are just a few things I remember from that night

Don't forget that we had lost 9 consecutive games to Florida. NINE!!! For those who weren't old enough to experience that, I hope you never ever have that level of frustration with your team. Try to relate to that.
As was said in a different thread:

At that time the thought of beating Florida was basically the same as the thought of seeing a unicorn on the way to class.

97' and 07' are obvious
But in 82' the Tigers went to Florida Field and beat the #4 ranked Gators 24-13
It was the Dalton Hilliard show...

My favorites: 1977. LSU got out to a 29-0 lead en route to a 36-14 rout of a good Gator team.
My first game in Tiger Stadium.

'97 easily. We beat #1 ranked UF with Spurrier at the helm in his prime.

both are in the top 10 of all time favorite games for me
2007 for me because we won the natty that year, all those 4th downs and Hester going full beast mode.
But at the time, 1997 felt like the GOAT. Until we lost to Ole Miss 7 days later.
But those two games are without a doubt the greatest wins over Florida in modern LSU history.

2007 no doubt. I was in HS, it was the night of our homecoming but I said frick that because I wanted to watch the game. Went to my cousins wedding reception while everyone else was at the actual wedding to help cook/set up with the game on in the background. Reception started and I sat down and didnt get up.
If there is one thing I know I dont regret it was saying no when my girlfriend asked me if we were going to go to homecoming, to watch that game. Definitely my favorite LSU game of all time.

1997. Kevin Faulk. Herb Tyler. Spurrier - "Let's beat these guys then get the hell out of here."
Ears ringing for hours afterward.
GREATNESS.

5) 2014 (Intense back and forth game, Tigers found their identity in 2nd half)
6) 2011 (Pure domination)
7) 2004 (Marcus Randle stole victory from the jaws of defeat)
