I think Young missed a game and some.
Yep. He missed the A&M Game, which is why the score of that game doesn't mean as much to me. Also only took 23 snaps vs Arkansas. Played basically 1 1/2 quarters

damn, surprising to see how close they are.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know Bryce young missed 1.5 games btw. Jayden didn't exist vs half of FSU, MSU and all of AU. So I think it balances out.
No it doesn't.

Avoid the early deficit and it doubles our chances to win. I think that is the key to this game. House needs to deliver his best gameplan of the year. quick adjustments. We can win this game but spotting Bama 14 to 17 early isn't in a winning gameplan.

And still has more interceptions than Daniels...
3 is still incredibly low, dont really see a difference there thats worth noting.
Daniels also was completely petrified to throw a ball into a a tight window or anticipate any throw the first 5-6 games of the season so he rarely ever had interceptable passes to begin with.

LSU has faced tougher defenses on average. Bama has faced 4 defenses ranked 109 or higher. LSU has not faced a team over 100 other than Southern if you count them as 131 (worst).

To illustrate the difference in playing time, Daniels has played 511 snaps to Young's 382, which is a pretty significant difference. Daniels has played about 33% more snaps than Young. It still is great to see his passing stats so close with how much Daniels has progressed just recently really, but if they played similar time this season Young's passing stats would probably be quite a bit higher.

Whoa T-Bird that's a big blow to that sheet

"And still has more interceptions than Daniels."
Young not scared to throw the ball, Daniels was.
Also give Young this receiving group, he would be in the running for the Heisman again.

The difference is the majority of Daniels’ passes are passes anyone on this board could complete. Bryce Young can actually throw the ball more than 8 yards, and he can see receivers.
JD isn’t even in the same world as Bryce Young.

Honestly if Daniels comes back next year we could be a national title contender from day 1.
We’re a contender this year is Daniels keeps playing like he has the last 2 weeks

The biggest difference is Bama has an OL full of 5 star players, a RB that is a significant threat as a runner or receiver and consistent receiver play.
I don't doubt Young is elite, but the players around him also let him play pitch and catch with minimal pressure.

Also, unlike Bryce, Daniels has had to become part of the run game. Now that they have started giving him the designed runs and RPO, it makes the run game even more effective. Daniels showed in the last game that if they try to commit too many in the box, he'll throw it up. Throwing it up will also be best in this game because Bama's DBs are very undisciplined. I think we could get Ricks and that one kid that got torched by Hyatt of Tennessee, into doing some stupid stuff. So even if you don't connect every time, you could draw some PIs.

quote:On that same note though, Daniels didn't have the protection in some games and has had a sever amount of drops this year and TD passes called back. Two TDs vs FSU, that deep pass to Jenkins that would have probably went for a TD vs Tennessee.

A lot of people want to look at the games he missed but their difference in pass attempts are only 15.
