I was curious how the two compared and it's a lot closer than I thought, especially when you factor in rushing:

Young
Passing: 1906 yds 66.1% 8.6 ypa 18 TDs/3 INTs
Rushing: 137 yds 5.3 ypc 3 TDs
Totals: 2043 yds 21 TDs / 3 INTs

Daniels
Passing: 1812 yds 69.9% 7.7 ypa 12 TDs/1 INT
Rushing: 524 yds 4.6 ypc 9 TDs
Totals: 2336 yds 21 TDs / 1 INT

Here’s to hoping Daniels and the receivers keep playing at the elite level they have shown to play at.

Honestly if Daniels comes back next year we could be a national title contender from day 1.

It really is funny to think that Jayden Daniels has been more productive offensively than Bryce Young this year. And even funnier when you realize just how mehhhh Jayden Daniels played the first half of the season.

I know Bryce young missed 1.5 games btw. Jayden didn't exist vs half of FSU, MSU and all of AU. So I think it balances out.

Sacks count against his average I believe.

They arent far off, but you also have to factor in Young missed like 1 3/4 games due to injury (Most of Arkansas + all of A&M)

Guy above is correct, sack yardage counts against a QBs rushing in college (Absolutely stupid).

So his pure rushing numbers are WAY higher than:

524yds 4.6 ypc 9 TDs

They have his actual rush only stats as 91 rushes for 643 yards, 7.1 ypc. 30 of his 91 carries went for at least 10 yards.

It does. He has like -100 sack yards on the season. Remember that Bryce Young occasionally scrambling on a busted play is easier to get more YPC than Jayden Daniels on designed QB runs and scrambles when their is always 1-2 spys on the box.

I’m taking Daniels over Young 10 out of 10 times

This is true.
Daniels did miss 3 quarters of southern, and most of the 3rd/4th against New Mexico as well so they've both missed some time.

Young has sat out quarters outside of missing Ark/A&M as well. They blew out Utah State, ULM and Vandy. So still even there probably if not even more time Young has missed compared to Daniels outside of the injury time he missed.

That is insane stats. If he comes back and repeats these types of performances, not only are we instant contenders for a national championship next year, he’s absolutely the top bet to win the Heisman.

Yep.
I'm excited to see Daniels continued growth though I hope he can keep it up!

I had to correct the number of carries as was looking at something wrong but it's still 7.1 ypc, and 30 rushes of 10+ yards

So 1/3 of the time he runs, it's for at least 10 yards

Bryce Young threw for 47 TDs and won the Heisman last with worse recievers than LSU has this year. I would give my left nut for Bryce Young on this LSU team. We would look like Tennessee right now. I'd throw JD under the bus so damn quick for Young lololol.
