LSU is lucky to have people that care that much a.k.a. fans and are passionate about their school/team.
If that passion wasn’t there, The $10 million Wouldn’t be there for Kelly to have ach’d into his account after losing first game for 3rd year in a row.

And if we are 1-2 at that point?
That last happened in 2020 under EdO, and we all knew it was the beginning of the end. And not again until 1994. Which turned out to be Curley Hallmans last year.
I mean, you just start to recognize the signs of when a coach isnt capable, or has checked out

You realize that only a very few so called fans are calling for Kelly’s job, so your whiny arse thread was a waste of time. And, you sound like a miserable person.

Kelly took a step backwards in my opinion. He can still get to10 wins. Even though, playoffs might be out of reach. The draft classes are coming together. Kelly does a have chance win championship in 26.

1. Calling for the firing of BK before or at the conclusion of his 3rd season on a 10 year/$100M contract is a useless position or talking point. He's not getting fired, no matter how mad you think the fans are. His contract assures that. It's a worthless discussion.
2. Melting down because this team is not likely a CFP team is also pretty useless because they were unlikely a CFP team BEFORE the season started. LSU lost a ton of production on offense, has a completely new defensive staff...with mostly the same players from a year ago. Expecting a CFP appearance was probably a bit much.
3. But it is reasonable to have some criticisms of both the players and coaches. The OL puffed their chest about how they were going to run the ball...then haven't in two games. One against an FCS opponent. Now, that may be an aspect of the scheme approach to the running game. Nussmeier is not Daniels. So teams aren't going to respect his ability, at all, to run. LSU has to adjust its approach.
The defensive approach was different from last season vs. USC. But it is a bit concerning a FCS school lined up and pushed LSU's front 7 around.
However, it is still early and a LOT can change from week to week. Notre Dame was already in the CFP according to everyone after the A&M win...then they got bullied by N. Illinois. South Carolina was terrible and a pushover after almost losing to ODU...then they went on the road and kicked Kentucky's arse. Houston get's thumped by UNLV (who may be pretty good)...then almost beats Oklahoma last week.
If you started out this season as a fan with a "CFP or else" mentality, then you may be in for a miserable year. But I tend to take the approach that we desperately wait 8 months for football season. So I'm not going to throw in the towel after 1-2 weeks and declare the season a "waste". Enjoy every game! Because in just a few months the long doldrums will return.

You ironically, albeit unwittingly, explained why we’re “miserable and entitled.”
“Judge me in year 3”
Year 3 comes, we’ve lost 3 season openers in a row, the most recent one could’ve been a win if we didn’t have Down syndrome play calling

Negatigers are a frustrating, group. Truly impossible to please.
Who are the Nega-tigers again? The fans that hate BK? Or is it the fans that shite on the actual champions O and Les? Or is that a Posi-Tiger take? Weren't the posi-tigers the one's who said Jayden Daniels was just a glorified running back and we should start Nuss? That was 99% of this board.
Aren't fans allowed to criticize their team when they lose? I mean isn't BK getting 100 million dollars to win meaningful games? He's 3-6 against ranked opponents. The players are also paid athletes. Some fans work their arse off and save their money to watch their team get stomped in vegas. We had 30,000 fans in the raiders stadium.. Did you sit at home and watch it on your couch? The fans are what make lsu great. The lsu fandom is our #1 asset. Go look at recruiting. No one holds on to in state talent like we do. Thats because it means something to play for LSU. Its a huge fricking deal to put on the P&G because our fans actually give a shite. Criticism is a form of giving a shite.

There's an old joke that goes something like "economists have predicted 7 of the last 3 recessions" and that's extremely applicable to the Tiger Rant.

Y'all are acting like he didn't do the same thing at Notre Dame. He beat the teams he should have beat (barely, even with large point spreads), but he never won the big games.
He is doing the same exact thing at LSU (minus Bama once). If he doesn't figure out how to use the talent we have and start winning the big ones, he will be under an absurd amount of pressure. Sadly, we are stuck with him for almost a decade, so for his sake, he better figure it out soon.

Do you think the players especially the defense buy into Kelly and the new DC?
I feel as if they’re not fully sold on them as coaches but at the same time, the players just didn’t show up to play against Nicholls st: I can’t fault that on coaching staff

I do not think the current roster has enough defensive talent to compete in the SEC. There are either errors being made in scouting/recruitment, talent is not being developed properly or both
That was easier to cover up with JD5, especially in 2023. Nuss isn't the problem, but he isn't a guy who can overcome a P5 (at best) defense with an SEC schedule, IMHO.
Under Kelly, the defense was bad and remains bad in Year 3.

You people are miserable and entitled.
Idiots calling for his firing are ridiculous and delusional. I am as big of a Kelly supporter as there is and I feel like even in this age of free agency, he needs 4 years to actually develop the program and depth.
That being said...
This team is still too paper-thin at too many positions. RB is a weakness. D-Line is a huge weakness, especially with Guillory out. The secondary is too young at times.
I am willing to give him through next season to develop the young players and this and next year's recruits. What is disheartening is that we may lose a lot of this year's better players to the draft. It is very hard to get the numbers right and to have the classes lineup to where you don't have big holes on your roster. But he is paid 10 million per to figure it out.
And the "we were tired" crap probably infuriated me as much as anything any coach has said around here in a long time. He is either very tone-deaf or he is covering up for some other problem.
